Got a reply within a day too. Not exactly what I was expecting but at least my message alerted them to the fact that the download version of RCM was out of date.
v2.5.4 is now available on the website. Download that, uninstall your current version, then install v2.5.4.
Thanks again JamminFool and Examigan.

I asked Roland to look into my problems with the App'. Let's see what happens.

The App' is up to date now but trying to update ZENOLOGY LITE via the App' may still prove to be a problem. I'm at 20% update so far ...

UPDATE:

After a couple of manual restarts, ZENOLOGY LITE updated itself via the App' during my little break. Awesome. :tu:

I spent a while staring at the Library in Roland Cloud before realising the text that said Update against Zenology was a clickable thing that would start an update - it didn't look like a link or button so I was thinking it was just a status indication. Not the best design.

Yeah - the latest incarnations of Roland Cloud are not the best in what concerns GUI. Seems awkward to me. I felt lost in the beginning. And it still isn't working very well in what concerns updates either. I had to manually delete my Zenology folder to get it properly updated. :dog:

Their UX/UI people are borderline incompetent. I posted a long list of problems with the Roland Cloud Manager UI several months ago. It's been redesigned again since then (for what must be the third time in the last year), and it's slightly less terrible now, but most of those points still stand.

Who cares? It can't be compared with the emulation, which is also available.

RCM still cannot update itself over here. Windows 10 home. /And why should you update at all? More than 300 megs to do what exactly?

I enjoy using Zenology and the analog expansions. They sound really nice and I get the typical Juno 106 or JX flavor. Overall I find the synth very useful. I can load many instances and play with the classic analog type of sounds and all the bread and butter ROMpler patches. These sounds happen to be very helpful in a mix. Simple and clean.
Only downside : the first instance usually takes around 15 sec to load, after that they load instantly.

I'm glad Roland finally made a serious "all-in-one" (PCM+VA synthesis) soft synth. I wanted something like this since the release of the Integra-7. It took them like 8 years or so... But here we are!

Am i missing something, or are the Zenology versions of the SH-101 and the JUNO-106 sharing the ENV between the filter and amp?

The Legendary versions (and I assume the original hardware) provide 2 ENVs, allowing for different envelopes for the filter and amp.

The Zenology versions of JX-3P and JUPITER both include 2 envelopes. Why would they change the architecture of the SH-101 and JUNO-106 this way?

The hardware had only one envelope. The separate VCA envelope in the "Legendary" Roland Cloud SH-101 was part of "enhanced tone shaping options" (as stated on the website).
TAL Bassline 101, e.g., also mimicks the original configuration.
