As mentioned, it depends on the DAW. I use mostly Logic, which can only use AU’s, so an AU version would be my selfish preference.Nils Schneider wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2020 1:09 pm For a Mac, the format needs to be an AU, right? Or is a VST fine, too?

Thank you Nils! You've done great work extracting
the original wave-sounds from the ROM.
Also you have a thread here!

What a fab emulation.
It sounds like the real thing.
All I have to do is press my controller "next patch" button and its like being back in the music shop in 1989 demoing it all over again.
Thanks very much Nils !

runs a slim DAW like EnergyXT2. no bloated sample libraries,
just fast good small VSTi's and effects that let me make
the music i like a joy. (electro pop)
take more CPU power to make sounds i can already make
with older synths anyway.
keepin it simple stupid.

Monophonic mode is really clicky... is it like that even on the original hardware? Hmmm...

I was never happy with win xp as it was. I would spend all my time trying to strip it back to its barest essentials with a free program made for that purpose (I forget its name).layzer wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2020 7:30 am heads up for winXP users, XP does not appear to be supported.
crashes with dll errors.
no biggie, Korg M1 and luxonix ravityS fill my rompler needs just fine.
Then it was on to Norton Ghost high compression to get it an image that was as small as possible with energyxt 1.4 and xt 2.7 on it fully loaded with the latest and greatest freeware.
If XP became corrupted I could reinstall it in a few minutes with the Norton Ghost image and be up and running as good as new.
