Ok just purchased Kaleidoscope and Metasynth Architecture vol1.

Kaleidoscope is.. a blast! I'll definitely be having fun with this.. and now I might just have to buy some of the other 2Caudio products in the future. I haven't really tested out the Architecture Vol1 add-on for Metasynth, but when I do I'll definitely report back on how it is.

Made a track while testing Kaleidoscope! This features a few instances generating some drones.

Folks, question about two Galbanum packs - "Architecture Volume One - Kaleidoscope" and "Architecture Waveforms 2010" do it need to buy them both ? Doesn't the content repeat in them?

And else about "Architecture Waveforms 2010" - what exactly need edition for KS - do it require exactly 64bit wav version or can buy\use 32wav version ?

It will... we have not forgotten KS.

seems a nice time for such things in fact. If you can't go outside to explore the real universe, at least you can stay in and create your own... working on it.

any news here? i can't remember the last time i opened Kaleidoscope. been so much busier with other things. would be nice to have a reason to blow the dust off it and fire it up.

As of today when starting to make new KS presets I can't save any presets to the Kaleidoscope library, using the function "Save Preset to Folder" as I usually do yields a spinning beach ball and then I get a warning message in Logic (translated from German) The procedure "Save File" failed. The procedure "Save File" interfered with the procedure "Open and Save" - this is in Logic 10-6-1 on Catalina. Can someone else try please?

Wow. Seems like the Apple+Logic+macOS downward spiral of realiability and performace is coming to a failed head. I am still on 10.13 and I swtiched to Reaper a year ago after 33 years on Logic and it's derivatives because of this downward spiral. Sorry for those that are trying to stick with the platform, sorry I can't help.

So I checked permissions, the folder Library/Application Support only allows system to write into it, not the admin and this can't be changed )another warning message), so maybe that's the culprit?

So I checked in Cubase 11 and "Save Preset to Folder" works fine there, so it's a new problem which must have occurred with the update of Logic to version 10.6.1 - not good at all...

Here's an idea: Try it in Reaper. If it works, it might be a Logic issue. If not, it's likely not Logic.

Update: I see you tried in Cubase and it worked. Funny the thumbs-down on my post about Logic/macOS being unreliable. Seems I was correct. Good luck to you.

Just another data point, saving presets works fine here as well in Cubase 11 on Windows.

can't recall the last time i used kaleidoscope. still hoping for an update to deliver more tonal variety. i seem to get 500 shades of the same tone unless i use the noisy crunchy options for mangling things. perhaps it's the way in which i use the plug in that is limiting the flavors i'm getting.

Yes, I sometimes have the same feeling, and I personally hope it will be especially developed in a "spectral" direction (multiple spectral hybrids gradually dissolving into each other, graphical morphing between samples, tuning files automatically derived from spectra…). It is already very good for these things and has a lot of potential to be further developed in this way, to make these things easier and quicker.

I've been hoping that they would incorporate a drawing feature within Kaleidoscope. Making adjustments on the fly would be nifty.
