A few small FR's:

Any chance of dotted and triplet divisions for the Shape Sequencer Timebass? Multiplying by a Constant value from the Mod Matrix doesn't seem to get precise results. (Maybe I'm doing something wrong?)

Any chance of having the output of the Mod Matrix slots visible in the scope?

Would it be possible to have a click on the upper text box in the wavetable hexagon select the sub menu, and a click on the lower box the wavetable?

Not sure if that's an easy thing... it was designed back then under the premise that triplets etc. were beyond the scope... (not saying it's impossible, just saying it won't be a quick thing)

Both are planned, but maybe after 2.1

(we'll have to rush things again because Apple... positive: faster updates... negative: fewer improvements)

Okay. It's no a big deal. After some experimentation, multiplying the Timebase by a constant of -11.67 gets close enough to dotted notes, although I'm not sure why.

There's a feature called "smart round" in our code somewhere, where .33 and .67 get rounded towards 1/3 and 2/3 divisions... IIRC

i'd love to see a global on/off switch for ARP in the hexagon - just like there is for FX

It brings something back that made the original Hive 1 skin look badass. It is how the controls and displays look back lit and it gives the illusion of blue light glowing in a dark room. But beyond that I think your skin is a fresh take on the UI and I would much enjoy using it interchangeably with the original. So hopefully you make it available. Nice work!
Thanks, I've actually integrated a new interactive section to highlight the development progress of the changes I've been doing to Hive 2 atm. There's a couple of new reskinned versions not seen before that I did on Saturday night which was fun. I know that this might sound like an American Football team being RPU Flyers... but anyway it'll make sense when you check it out :-D. Intrancersonic - DS - RPU Flyers

I would like to see one addition to the auto mode for modulating wavetable position.
Basically the Loop><, but with configurable starting position and loop position, and seperate loop selection.
So have a set starting position as is currently, play until set loop endpoint (instead of the end of the wavetable). Then go back and forth bewteen this loop endpoint and a third position.
Andy is a support ninja.

This would be nice, yes :)

Still loving Hive. The synth is so well thought out, and once you learn it, you end up doing things other ways than in other similar synths, which most of the time is way more efficient.

Some things I would not mind having:
- Being able to lock the keys (your own scale) setting, when switching between presets,
- Expanded set of parameters for the delay + reverb sections. I reach for external ones mostly since I often want more detailed settings.
- The possibility to do some simple FM, I do use the wavetables for FM sounds, but I miss to be able to modulate FM directly. (...I like the Nord Lead approach and sound).

Btw, what happened to that announcement about Hive vs some other "product"? :)

I'd personally love to see/hear a 224/480 modulated-hall style reverb in U-he plugs. Wasn't there talk recently of a new reverb algorithm being done that was based off a hardware box? Was that for Uhbik, a standalone product, or maybe something we'll see in upcoming synths (Hive 2.1, Z3)?

Hoping Urs might spill some beans.

Hehehe, can't really say much atm... day was exhausting (Z2 release, CVz getting ready...) there's no energy left to retrieve such information. Maybe in a few days.

Appreciated anyway. Just saw the Dark Zebra release on Instagram, off to download now...

Thanks and congrats on the releases!

It would be cool to see a bunch of new analog synth wavetables maybe? Moog, Sequential, so on.....?

claudedefaren wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 11:18 pm Yeah I've had that thought too, FM in Hive would be awesome. I have no time to learn how to program it into singlepurpose wavetables with the scripts, there's work to be done and music to be made!
FM to/from wavetables is unrealistic due to CPU overheads (about 50x current usage IIRC), but I'd love to have FM between the main/sub osc (as carrier/mod) for the analog waves at least. I love the scripts as a concept and that people with more brain power and patience can create some great sounding tables with them, but I similarly don't have the time to learn how to create the timbres I want with them.

If FM is implemented, I trust Urs and the team to do in such a way as not to affect performance or efficiency/usability for other users who aren't interested in it.
Always Read the Manual!
