Yeah i looked at the "midi implementation" sheet for the JD-Xa, and it's quite intimidating. I think i'll be alright with the synth though, the menus don't look overcomplicated, and i'll just be recording it live as audio into the DAW. It's got its own sequencer on board so i won't need to using it with external sequencer.
