I am looking for an VSTi alternative to this M4L device for creating rythmically random synth patterns:

https://futurephonic.co.uk/de/item/radi ... s-for-live :
Rhythmizer - draw one note. Roll the dice.

Want to see what the machines are thinking? Get your favourite synth and draw one long note, and let Rhythmizer do the rest. Play with the probability of 8th, 16th and 32nd notes, then hit the Modulation settings for some quick randomness. Hit record then let it do its thing - then slice up the goods to your taste.
So in other words: I feed this midi effect with a single long note and get random sequences (on a 16th´s grid) which contains (set by probability) notes or gaps of 1/8th, 1/16th or 1/32nd of the same pitch...
I tried a bit with RandArp ( https://www.codefn42.com/randarp/index.html ) but it doesn´t just do 16ths or 32nds but randomly everything in between too respectively let notes overlap as well... not what I am looking for...

Riffer can be abused for that too but as it cannot get convinced to spit out just one pitch I can use it just with synths where I can set a fixed pitch...

Do you know perhaps something better than I found???

Riffer can do a single pitch if you want - you can lock each step and tie the notes if you want as well but it wont do the Rhythmiser thing. You might be able to tweak some automation in your DAW and maybe get something like that by either switching between patterns or switching note length/speed/ jumping around the pattern, changing pattern length and so on. But a real hassle compared to something designed to get what you want. Probably one of SZCZ's sequencers for Kontakt can do similar

The Quad Note Generator in Reason Rack maybe?

Riffer can be made to give out one pitch, if you zoom into the pitch range on the left side to one pitch only.

Thx for the hints...

This I found works quite well actually but the probability of 1/8th notes are a bit low...

So true... it´s possible but quite messy...

Maybe take a look at MidiBot. Don't know, if that's what you have in mind, but it's definitely possible to set the output to one pitch. That little thing is quite funny, I should use it more often. And it's dirt cheap.

Edit: Made a short clip of playing around with it: https://vimeo.com/470987694

Midi Madness, except you don't have to draw a long note, just specify the parameters and roll the dice

This seems to be the right match!! Thx very much!!

there are so many tools for doing generative sequencing... maybe mention which DAW you're using?

and hopefully those guys make a few more vids about their Live tools... i could find only this one:
