Can you help with installing MDrummer packs?

Hey Goldglob.
I got it working this morning. I did 3 things, and I don't know Which of these 3 cured the problem.
1, Updated from version 14.9 to 14.10.
2, installed the VST 3 versions of the plug-ins, but used VST to anyway.
3, Originally, I had created a Melda productions folder in my sound data folder. It came to my mind that maybe MP would create its own folder and didn't like the fact that I created one by myself. So I deleted my MP folder and chose my Sound data drive's Route to install MP's data.
This was not a very good idea as everything is now all over the place in my drive, and I would rather have all my MP data in its own folder. But the installation worked.
Do you have an idea of what actually solved my problem?
All the best,

I'd say something to do with your 3/.... above.
What works for me:
I have my overall Melda Production folder in the default C\ Program data (it has a lot of stuff in there for Melda FX etc as well).
I moved the whole MDrummer folder to my sample drive, then when I next opened MDrummer was asked to point to the data location.
Anyway, glad you got it all working.

Hello again Goldglob.
Everything is working perfectly well now, but may I ask for your help once more on a different matter?
I would love to assign my drums rooms levels to MIDI controllers. I realise that no matter how different drum kits are, the room makes them sound a bit similar. Sometimes I need that big roomy sound, sometimes I don't, and the ideal would be to be able to dose rooms one and 2 in real-time for the whole kit.
I know that M drummer has a MIDI learn function but it's so hard to find that I gave up, its manual is not the most comprehensive one I've seen.
Can you help?

Room 1 Volume and Room 2 Volume are both available as plug-on parameters for automation in your DAW.
Or, you can map a MIDI CC message to them both using the MIDI Settings - click the [MIDI] button at the bottom of the Tool bar on the right-hand side. Then you can click the [?} buttons for context-specific info.

Thanks for all the help guys, but I still can't find what I'm looking for.
I'll paste to screenshots to try and explain, and maybe someone can guide me to the right screen, unless the manual doesn't reflect the most recent update, it doesn't seem to match with what I'm seeing.
Cheers,

If you just see the word "Toolbar" on the button at the right-hand side, then click it to open the tool bar.

Hi friends. I'm nearly there but not yet.
There is something about Melda's logic I just can't understand. MIDI learning is so straightforward on other plug-ins, but this one still resists.
I have assigned 3 controllers to 3 parameters as the screenshot below will show you, so they look to be assigned, but still have no effect.
Of course, my controller is transmitting these controls rightly.
A little more help please.
Thanks,.

Yep, that look good.
But I cannot get it to work in MDrummer either, even if I turn off that "Last note-on channel only) filter. It's fine in other MeldaProduction plug-ins. Maybe it's a bug?

All right then, I'll write to Melda about this.
Thank you very much for trying.

In the meantime, I can use the usual MIDI learn in REAPER to control the OH and Room faders.
jprykiel, is there something like that in Samplitude?

Thanks Goldglob, interesting workaround. Although it will be a project based one. But it could work in the meantime.
Cheers.
Cheers.
