A really great granulator, but it's an FX not a synth as asked by the op. Crazy plugin tho, I got it few days ago.

Both Falcon and Form are amazing. I use both of them quite a lot. Having said that: Form isn't pure granular synthesis; it uses resynthesis to get really interesting results (which you wouldn't get from granular synthesis). It's more comparable to the resynthesis mode in Avenger. And Falcon is way more than just a granular synthesis instrument; it's my favorite plugin ever, and the closest I've ever seen to a true all-in-one instrument, but if you ONLY want granular synthesis then it's probably overkill.SLV88VLS wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2019 8:27 pm Hi guys, I'm new to the world of granular synthesis but I'm playing around with Form inside Reaktor, also I saw good reviews about UVI Falcon (which I'd like to take in the future), I'm asking why these 2 are not mentioned at all?

I like to buy granular synths, use them for an hour or two and then never touch them again.

That version of Absynth really kicks ass, but the next generation GUI is a bit cryptic, and it doesn't come with a manual.Cinebient wrote: Sat Jan 19, 2019 1:41 pmYou mean Absynth X.![]()

Actually, both Polygon and Palindrome are granular samplers. Polygon 2 is the newest one and includes modulation envelopes similar to SugarByte's Factory. I'm looking for better as it can only generate 16 grains max.

Really depends of what your goal is. If you're after big, fluffy, smooth grain clouds, the Glitchmachines plugins are definitely not what you should look for and you should look for something else. All their granular samplers sound clickly, glitchy and stuttered since they cannot emit multiple grain streams, therefore no overlapping grains for true grain clouds. But again, that might be the sound you're looking for.jzero wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 2:32 am

Hi Neon Breath, I think of you as our resident granular king
Have you checked out the granular engine in Roli’s Equator 2 yet?
I’d love to know your opinions on it.
Edit: it’s not very good at all...

Is it a granular synth?imrae wrote: Sat Jan 19, 2019 9:48 am Not sure why we've only had one mention of Absynth? What do people think it lacks?
Bear with me, I never booted it up, so I have no idea.
Nevermind, I guess this answers that:
Cool. Really need to check Absynth out.
