It is exactly that… but only available in the forthcoming update. We get so used to beta features, it's too easy to forget that certain minor details are not out there yet!recursive one wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:21 am And what is "ModNoise"? Going by the name I thought it was some kind of source of random fast modulations.
Estimated time for the release of Hive 2.1 update?

Interesting, thanks! Can't wait to try it out. I guess, if assigned to pitch (or phase?) this can produce various kinds of pitched windy/noisy sounds (a bit similar to FM from noise in Virus perhaps?) Or does it serve some other purpose?Howard wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:23 amIt is exactly that… but only available in the forthcoming update.recursive one wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:21 am And what is "ModNoise"? You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

are there any other teams that are more broad but still have access to some parts of such servers

It's much like the noise modulators in the Minimoog or Prophets. You get different colours in conjunction with the slew limiter in the ModMatrix or FuncGens. You can also use it to randomly trigger Sample & Hold and such.recursive one wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 1:02 pmInteresting, thanks! Can't wait to try it out. It would be nice if new features would be shown in presets and tagged as Hive 2.1 !Urs wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 1:16 pmIt's much like the noise modulators in the Minimoog or Prophets. This way users could see how they work and experiment with it.

As you can see in Zebra, we started using the bank name feature to distinguish between releases with new features. In Hive we used the "saved searches" feature to do the same, but I'm sure we're moving to versioned bank names as well.MorpherX wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:52 pm It would be nice if new features would be shown in presets and tagged as Hive 2.1 !

Interesting. The only "minimoog" I'm familiar with is Monark. Noise modulation in that one can produce some insteresting "electric" sounds that actually remind me on FM somewhat. I guess in Monark it is hardwired to pitch (isn't it?).Urs wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 1:16 pmIt's much like the noise modulators in the Minimoog or Prophets. I think it must work at audio rate to provide the best results? Or not?
Btw, what is the slope of the BP and HP filters in Hive? 12 dB, 24dB or something else? or does it depend on the engine?
