But time is a hidden cost, as you said: "I guess the problem is that I feel overwhelmed by the amount of plugins and options."

Yes. You have to learn the specifics of the ecosystem which is valid for all plugins then. Some hate it, some love it. Many of the plugins are very specific problem solvers, like MBassador or MDoubletracker. Others are toolboxes. And yes, it takes time, probably forever.ScrLk wrote: Sun Nov 29, 2020 12:43 pmSo you would tell me to see if they mesh with me first.ralfrobert wrote: Sun Nov 29, 2020 12:38 pmHalf a year ago I went all-in and use Melda wherever possible. Never regretted it. If you are unsure, you can get some new toys and wait for the next sale. MFreeFxBundle is a no-brainer and can already do a lot.
I guess the problem is that I feel overwhelmed by the amount of plugins and options.
Do the MultiBand versions of the plugins also function as the single band ones? Like if I only get MTransientMB, is that a downside?
Then, if new plugins are added to the bundle, do I get those as well?
For me Melda has various bits and pieces that I'm currently missing.
MB versions are usable in single band mode. MB is very powerful, just watch the tutorial videos.
If you have the mixing bundle, future additions are free, as are lifetime updates, multiple installs on more than one machine, drum samples, MSF devices .... but these are associated with other products of course. This is very pleasant if you have a bundle or a big product. One‐time investment.

How about picking up the full demo and playing around for some hours? Also, Chandler's videos are a good starting point to see what is possible.

Yeah, honestly I don't need them very soon yet, so I'm forgetting about black friday and get them at some other 50% sale after demoing some more. Thanks for thinking along.ralfrobert wrote: Sun Nov 29, 2020 1:08 pmHow about picking up the full demo and playing around for some hours? If you want to spend some money, you might want to get the drum replacer for the beta price. For Melda, this is the all-time low as far as I can remember.ScrLk wrote: Sun Nov 29, 2020 1:09 pmYeah, honestly I don't need them very soon yet, so I'm forgetting about black friday and get them at some other 50% sale after demoing some more. Oh, I'm not worried about beta pricing but thanks for the recommendation. Opposite to spending money, I think I will start this journey with the Free bundle.ralfrobert wrote: Sun Nov 29, 2020 1:17 pmIf you want to spend some money, you might want to get the drum replacer for the beta price.
