Half a year ago I went all-in and use Melda wherever possible. Never regretted it. If you are unsure, you can get some new toys and wait for the next sale. MFreeFxBundle is a no-brainer and can already do a lot.

Yes. You have to learn the specifics of the ecosystem which is valid for all plugins then. Some hate it, some love it. Many of the plugins are very specific problem solvers, like MBassador or MDoubletracker. Others are toolboxes. And yes, it takes time, probably forever.

MB versions are usable in single band mode. MB is very powerful, just watch the tutorial videos.

If you have the mixing bundle, future additions are free, as are lifetime updates, multiple installs on more than one machine, drum samples, MSF devices .... but these are associated with other products of course. This is very pleasant if you have a bundle or a big product. One‐time investment.

If you want to spend some money, you might want to get the drum replacer for the beta price. For Melda, this is the all-time low as far as I can remember.
