Will Tyrell ever get updates with newer features common to other u-he synths?

If by extra features you mean multichannel support it would be awesome ...and an extra HPF.
Yeah, MPE and stuff. More voices. Multicore support. Little things.
MPE, more voices, multicore, new preset browser, maybe a delay (Lyrebird) and verb, all the usual U-he bells and whistles? I'm in!

...as long as someone not named Urs Heckman can take the lead. That guy needs 6 months with nothing else on his plate so he can work on Zebra. And let's be honest: 6 months to a developer is 18 months to the rest of us.

Yeah, hehehe, none of this is going to happen before I get my 6 months uninterrupted Z3 time 8)

Would be cool as long as it is low cost pro lol.. jip a good quality reverb would be cool as well as delay, distortion, resonator and Hard Sync in oscillators and a Ubie filter thrown in for good measure...

I'd be up for buying an updated version. Tyrell is what I've been learning subtractive synthesis on and I really enjoy using it. One thing I would like would be to have all four wave shapes for both oscillators - for making organ sounds I've been pushing the resonance all the way up on the filter to get an extra sine wave, but then the filter can't be used for other stuff.

Even if that doesn't happen, it would be great for the icons for the waves to be a little clearer - I still get confused by the saw wave on oscillator 2 having the same icon as the sine wave on oscillator 1.

And since adding features, why wouldn't the pro version have 4 oscillators? 8)

That'd be so awesome! :ud: An entry level u-he synth, feature and price wise. Maybe also update the graphics a bit?

Abso-frickin-lutely!

I don't know why Tyrell's oscillators sound so thick and great, but they do. MPE, stable VST3, new browser etc. I'd pay for that.

I'd prefer the architecture stay as it is now. We have other options for bigger synths with more oscs (like Bazille and Zebra).

That would be fantastic!

Here is my suggestion:

Tyrell N6 Pro
= (current version of) Tyrell N6 + (simple/basic) ARP* + some additional FX (i. e. Reverb, Delay, maybe Phaser)

[*maybe like the one in Diva]

Oh, and patches should be compatible with the soundbanks that are available for the current Tyrell N6.
And one more thing ... a new Pro skin, please. :)

I think that should be enough for the new u-he entry level synth!

Arp is a great call. My wishlist:

1. Lyrebird/CoCo based delay (in addition to current Chorus)
2. Reverb (NuVerb)
3. Velvet
4. MPE
5. New Browser
6. Diva's Arpeggiator
7. Two more Mod Matrix slots with some of the menu options from Hive
8. Updated framework stuff (MIDI Learn table, multicore, VST3, etc.)
9. Preference setting to make MIDI value 64 (or 63) the center value for bipolar knobs (then add that to all other U-he synths ;) )

That last one is for anyone who has a synth with detented knobs that transmit 64 at the center value whereas U-he synths (understandably) expect 63. Feel like a global preference with some simple behind the scenes scaling could easily fix that.

Target price: $49?

10. Mono/legato release retrigger behavior like in Diva. :)

Did we just spec out the Deep-Mind? lol

I bet the U-he version would sound better!

Depending on what we’re considering low cost, I’d be fine paying for it with just the new across the board features. I don’t really need another synth but I’m always down for another u-he synth.

Got my vote!

LOL, many likeminds here. Let’s not go to far right now, I have to remind you it’s a long term strategy. And we take our time with these. Infamously.
