Is that the key that is used to unlock it? Click on activate and select the file you mentioned, it should have a .mlf suffix.caroletelfer wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 5:08 pm Why can't I download this product? MTurboComp features a standardized GUI, which makes "all compressors work the same way". For me, definitely a huge positive. For you, perhaps not, who knows
.
As for activation, you should have received an email with instructions. If not, there should be a link from you user account as well, you can also wait for it to expire and then activate it just by clicking the button, or use the Settings button, or drag & drop the licence onto the plugin
... We really tried to make every possibility work.

MTurboCompLE has no enough features, has no real classic compressors sound, has no EDIT possibility, has no classic compessors behavior and no same controls.
Not MTurboComp in first. Please read carefully. Thank you.
Make close classic compressors sound and UI controls (no need photo, controls only) please

Well, I'm afraid we are satistied in how it sounds. And no makeover to make it work like the originals is planned, sorry. We stand by our decision in the control standardization.getfr wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:55 pm Make close classic compressors sound and UI controls (no need photo, controls only) please

i think this approach is a welcome change.
There’s so many different clones of originals already, i cant imagine what purpose could another serve...
(But i cant forgive lack of exponential release on the 1176, its my pet peeve)
Have to discover what it does in its own, i think thats the fun part of melda.

To fill the demand. Every year someone does it better and regardless of how many exist, people will always buy them. Look at Slate's LA2A.. people went bonkers. If BandLab rereleased Cakewalk's edition people would eat that up too.Ploki wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 11:46 pm

True, the question is, whether the money is the only concern. Of course it is easiest to create plugins like Slate or FabFilter, knowing people will buy them, because that's what they know. But is it the best to do with the time? For me, not really... Time is the most precious resource ever. And I like to improve things, not just repeat the endless circle...

eh, not sure Slate and FabFilter fit in the same sentenceMeldaProduction wrote: Mon Dec 07, 2020 4:19 pm True, the question is, whether the money is the only concern. I'm a big fan of FabFilter. They're consistent, you can't make them sound bad, and they're extremely agile - UX is imo perfected to extreme, I can't name any other plugin that's as straightforward and reliable as their FX suite. It practically NEVER crashes, none of macOS upgrades ever broke their plugins - when it does, they're extremely fast to fix things (and i'm sure they'll be one of the first to update their stuff to Apple Silicon as well)
Slate on the other hand is a bloated flashy mess of imo similar pseudo-analog sounds which i have zero interest in.

Yeah yeah, it's just the tendency to do anything "new", that's the same for both.

I don't disagree with you, Ploki seemed confused on the reasoning behind why a company would bother releasing yet another as the answer is simpleMeldaProduction wrote: Mon Dec 07, 2020 4:19 pm True, the question is, whether the money is the only concern. 1. There's a market for it
2. With advances in tech = better quality (sounding) plugins.

I did not understand you.
But I know exactly what 1176 looks like.
I also use plugins from other developers.
The original 1176 looks different and the controls are different.
There is no desire to guess the behavior of this plugin.
I would understand if the values of the parameters were written in real values. But in this form it is very inconvenient for me.
