Can it analyze whole drum kits, ie loops and break them down into separate midi parts?
No one seems to be able to answer this question?
I would love to be able to use some classic drum loops, get the individual drum parts and use them in some electronic music :)

I have a lot of KONTAKT and Toontrack drum libraries.
I want to use those samples to replace the drums.
So I need MIDI output.
They added MIDI output in the newest version. I'm waiting for some information how to use it, as it's not clear to me how you'd have to route the MIDI from the plugin. In Studio One I don't see a way to consume MIDI output from a plugin sitting on an audio track. Maybe someone could help with this or name a DAW that this is supposed to work with?

Reaper

Send the MIDI from the MDrumReplacer track to another track and Record that track's MIDI Output:

That shows the generated C notes and their velocities. Please note that the Analysis graph does not show the first detected event (Vojtech did explain why, but I forget).)

Or Waveform:
Select the MDrumrReplacer track as the input to another track and Record that MIDi input there.

No, this one is more like SlateTrigger. To replace drumhits in badly recorded drums:

I literally just watched this last night. I think this covers your question. He's one of my new favorite S1 "how-to" guys.

Thanks for your reply.
They separate audio but not midi.

I think UVI Drum Replacer is the one that’ll do what I’m after. Apparently it can analyze complete kits and break them down.

I did not see in that video where he talked about using MIDI generated by a plug-in. And using the AUX channels is NOT the usual way to route audio to outputs in Kontakt.

You're right. I believe it would be similar to your solution. You'd add a new VI track and use the the MDrumReplacer track as the Input.

I think the first section of this KVR thread covers it.

Thank you. I updated the demo to the latest version and got the MIDI Out feature. :tu: :tu:

I'm not familiar with the routing method.
That's because my favorite DAW "Reaper" doesn't require routing for this purpose.
In Reaper I just insert the drum VSTi after the Audio to MIDI converter plug-in and they work fine.
Sorry for my poor English.
