Someone already grabbed it then and never bothered to say it.. Keep an eye of the marketplace, should be seen there soon with "fair" price from some peddlerv1o wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 2:40 pmMy luck! Better to ask people to PM you and then donate to the first one that looks like they might actually make use of it. At least if you want to avoid that.SneakyBeats wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 4:04 pmSomeone already grabbed it then and never bothered to say it.. Either way it's a generous gesture.

Personally, I think everyone is more tapped out than anyone is giving credit for here in this conversation, and the base of purchase candidates who overlap between sellers in these forums and buyers of the NI bundle is far less than TONS. Perhaps dozens. I'm still on the fence on whether to spend the money. They were smart to overlap the calendar year with the sale but still. That's real money not $20 or $50. I view the cost of the bundle more as a deposit on an extended rental that can be recovered in future years.Tappistry wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 3:37 amI wouldn't necessarily say it's "blah" toward the community. People sell duplicate licenses here if they buy bundles, etc.Sindikhate wrote: Fri Dec 18, 2020 7:56 pmEveryone wins. You save a little money and the people who you sell your duplicates save too. I have 4 from the bundle cheaper than they have ever been sold on KVR at the moment. People who would want to profit would wait to sell on February onwards.. and that is a bit blah towards the community.ScrLk wrote: Fri Dec 18, 2020 7:25 pmVery honestTappistry wrote: Fri Dec 18, 2020 7:10 pmI was briefly considering doing that with the whole bundle and then realized there are probably going to be a TON of other people doing it too. Not worth the hundred or so bucks of profit I *might* make from doing that.ScrLk wrote: Fri Dec 18, 2020 5:28 pm I'm sure there will still be some sweet deals second hand because people will have doubles to sell.
However, considering how plugged in KVR is to sales, my suspicious is there will be a ton of saturation for people having all the u-he products anyways. Like I said, my time is better spent on other efforts if I want to make an extra $100.
If you have free time enough to browse and participate in these forums, any further commentary to the value of your time vis a vis selling duplicates comes across as somewhat disingenuous. We all place different values on different things. If I buy the bundle, selling off my two duplicates at a realistic price is part of the total calculation of my out of pocket cost and part of how I see the transaction. It's not extra work; just part of the deal. I will likely have to sell the two at a loss compared to what I paid, even in January after the sale is over, even after owning for 9 months. Passing on my savings to someone else seems very much not blah towards the community. Nobody is going to make a grand profit buying the bundle and later parting it out. I mean some might try. Folks here scrape together cash flipping free licenses. I don't begrudge them for trying. Makes for a more vibrant marketplace, if they are above board, obey the rules, and there are buyers.

+1 for Black Hole, I find it really great. I'm into this type of effect and have several "alternatives", but I find Black Hole just very gentle and pleasing for what it does, so I usually like it best. The promo videos of the other two didn't convince me so I don't have them.jzero wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 5:14 am Eventide stuff: Black Hole, Mangled Verb or Crystals? At the end of the day, buying the U-he bundle only gives you an extra 10% off over buying single licenses (60% vs 50%). I only want some of the synths/effects in the sale, and I'd rather just buy what I want at a sightly sub-optimal discount than have the hassle of trying to sell half the bundle on in a marketplace that's going to be flooded by people doing the same thing.

I like Black Hole. I had the reverb pedal for a couple of years and sold it and bought the plugin when it was on sale. I also bought it for my iPad. I listened to demos of the other plugins and none of them grabbed me the way Black Hole does. Also, I happen to have Sound Toys. YMMV of course.gondii wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 7:34 pm+1 for Black Hole, I find it really great. I am looking at Generate right now. It is an interesting plugin. I have Aalto already and also the Buchla Easel model in Arturia V Collection so I am not so sure.

Thanks, I'll ask them. Their dealer page only has Phase Plant and Toolbox but maybe that was an error.andi75 wrote: Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:46 am As the current kilohearts sale has been extended and also expanded to include Snapins and Multipass, will this sale be available in jrrshop as well?

Oh, I'm sure it did do quite some damage.OneOfManyPauls wrote: Fri Dec 18, 2020 11:11 pmpretty staggering that dangling that for 8 years doesn't seem to have done any real rep damage. I bought z2+dz with an eye on getting z3 years ago - but feel no ill will towards them for it not being released yet. I guess when everything they do put out is of such high quality it generates some serious goodwill.mladi wrote: Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:58 pm viewtopic.php?f=31&t=362210
Over eight years old post.. time is ticking away..![]()
Funnily, the first post from eight years ago was made to tell people that Z3 is far away. People had been asking about it, and I wanted to stop rumours to spread by saying "no, it's not imminent". I also did not want to disappoint people, so I said "but yeah, we've started doing some stuff, but it'll take a while". We put the price scheme in there to tell people that it's still worth it buying Zebra2, because people had started to hold off buying it in expectation of a newer version.
However, we had just released Diva, and Diva changed everything. With it came The Dark Zebra, and that changed everything even more. Suddenly we needed more employees, new offices, even more employees and with it more "new stuff" to pay for it all. Hence, Bazille, Hive, Repro and the new effects. But with that came maintenance hell whenever Apple, Steinberg, Avid or Microsoft figured they want us to do something differently. Suddenly we had to always keep twice as many products afloat. Hence, very large projects such as Z3, drum machines, and now Uhbik 2, always get interrupted, then postponed, then new developers trained and assigned to them.
So about two years ago we decided to do a few large sales to generate enough money so we don't have to create a new product until we can finalise Zebra3 and Uhbik 2 (and an equally overdue Hive upgrade which we have already put out, just like we finally updated Bazille). We still have to do those pesky maintenance updates (Apple Silicon...), but more and more resources are freed to work on Z3.
Cheers,
- U
