A simple patch , hp reso bite into lowpass reso .
The hp bite filter is enabled , yet it has no effect
Switching bite to pre and back again solves it
Here's the patch

That's weird , I think something must have been corrupted while saving
Whenever I load the patch , the hp is totally ommited
See screenshot , no resonance at all

Maybe I tested the wrong thing.
I opened the patch.... Twisted the Filter Cutoff, and then bypassed and re-enabled the Diva HP. All Three of those actions had audible effects on the sound.
Was it something else you wanted me to test?

O.K. I also have it with a recently saved preset
It does not always happen , but only when zebra Hz is instantiated for the first time , the high pass filter is bypassed , switching the modes activates it ( default is hp bite )
Maybe one of the developers can have a look ?

I would of course suggest you send it via email to their support and of course give details of your DAW, OS etc.

o.k. it seems serious , the high pass filter is never saved
Initialise patch
Insert hp filter bite
save patch
Reload ZEbra and select the patch you previously created
filter is bypassed

Sorry that is not happening on my mac running Cubase.
Recalls fine.

Not happening in Renoise (on MacOS) for me either.

Post

Sure , so the exact same steps ?
Initialise
insert diva hp bite , turn up resonance ( so the effect is obvious )
save patch
Reload zebra ( important )
Reload patch
Here every time the effect of the high pass filter is absent , but when I swith to another preset and back again it's o.k

So when loading projects the same issue arises , I am not going to that for every zebra instance

I will post it in the dedicated beta forum

No need for further tests, I can confirm the issue.
Seems to be a Windows specific problem with the HPF filter not being initialized when loading a new plugin instance.
You first have to switch one of its settings before it gets active.
Very good find, I'll do further tests tomorrow and add it to our system, so it gets fixed for the next update.

Does it bite also when reloading a project and/or switching presets?

Is there any workaround? I'm afraid it could take a while for the next update, and this seems a pretty serious issue...

This only happens when you load a new instance of the plugin.
All you need to do is to select the HPF filter and then briefly change either its model or revision parameter. This will activate the module, and it will stay active as long as the plugin is loaded.

And the next update won't be too far away, as we are already working on updates to integrate support for Apple's new Silicon chips.
