Thanks guys. With all the discounts, Melda MSoundFactory LE is available for $35. Wondering if it is worth it (for the sounds)?

I like the sound of MSF, yet would also suggest to Demo it before buying, as some just love this thing while others just dont. You should also get an #Upgrade offer from LE to the full version, which might be interesting on another 50% off - sale.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, not possible to demo it right now. I will try to check some audio demos and videos to help with decision making. :tu:

I’m on the Softube mailing list and there’s interesting wording of their latest email for fellow UK based peeps
The UK is scheduled to end it's transition period with the European Union on the 1st of January 2021, and we would like to give you all a "heads up" that there could be a very short period of time from January the 1st where we will not be able to accept payments from the UK. This is due to the fact that we are an EU company and need to have in place new tax documentation from the UK government.

We are hopeful that this will happen in good time, but just in case, please complete any purchases you were intending to before the end of the year to avoid disappointment.

This does not affect access to your owned products or the support we offer you.
Politics to one side it seems we will continue to live in interesting times through the new year

Are you safe?

I was wondering about this regarding Plugin Boutique, which is based in the UK.
We might get quite some Mails with similar Info in the next few Days.

I got this from Rhythmic Robot

" because we're no longer based in the UK, but have run away to somewhere with more sardines and olive oil, this means we're going to have to get ourselves registered for UK tax in a different way come January 1st.

Until we've dotted the i's and crossed the t's on the paperwork, we're going to temporarily suspend sales to the UK – probably through much of January, but hoping to get them up and running again in February once the tax stuff's sorted."

So a month of not accepting UK orders.

I'm a little concerned because I bought myself a Streichfett for Christmas from Digital Village. I tried it yesterday and it's faulty. I'd originally assumed that when the item was being shown "In stock" on the DV247 site that it was in the Romford warehouse. It wasn't, it came from Germany. So now I'm having to return it to Germany, filling out custom forms (anyone know the international HS code for synthesisers (I'm not going to bother)) as if I'm some exporter of goods.

That sounds a bit suspect to me, if you bought it from the uk site and paid to a uk company then as far as i remember the sale of goods act places the responsibility onto the retailer for any faulty goods. I'd try checking with your local trading standards about that first.

That's a bit strange as usually you should have to send the faulty good back to the retailer (in this case in the UK), not to the producer (in this case Germany). And then the retailer sends it back to the producer. At least that's how it's handled in Germany, commercially.

It's going back to the German parent company, not Waldorf..but I will remember that in future. Usually I get my stuff from PMT and if there are any issues I can take it back to the local shop.

Yeh but its not your responsibility to send it back to germany, its the uk company you bought it from.

Because the Musicstore of Michael Sauer is located in Köln/Germany :?:

But why the shop in Romford/UK cannot send it back to the parent company in Germany :?:

Probably to save shipping costs :?:

The RS FAQs say "buy and register". Any experience? Thank you!
If you register your Reason 11 upgrade serial after Reason 12 is released. You will still get Reason 11.
thank you very much for the reply and ¡Viva Steinberg! :hihi:

I'm currently shopping for soundproofing curtains and asked for a quote from a company in the UK (I'm in Germany) and they had issues with their website and won't be able to offer any custom projects for a while - which according to them is also a consequence of Brexit. Things are going to get pretty interesting...
