I believe it. No company has the functionality that Melda has.

btw still hoping it was just a joke

I have no doubt other companies copy Melda. The only benefit to Fabfilter I can see others like ,is the clean GUI. Which I hate.mode plugins are years behind Melda. People need to quit obsessing over simple GUIs. They need to learn to use their ears.

a while back in such a "why they hate melda" thread, someone mentioned he dislikes the trumpism-like behavior with melda and its community. though i thought that was funny, i meanwhile have to agree with him, the more of these threads i read.

for a company that dislikes apple; Added native Apple Silicon CPU (currently M1) support. so the support is there, strangely faster than other brands.

MAutodynamicEQ really was one of the first Dynamic EQs/Matching EQs/Pitch FollowingEQs. I think it was released in 2011. There weren't many dynamic EQs around back then..IQ4 Dynamic EQ by Platinumears, Toneboosters FIX later HOFA IQ EQ.
Edit: derKnott MOVEQ+ was released in 2006

MSpectralDynamics was released in 2013. Smash Pro by Jeroen Breebaart (Toneboosters) was released
in 2009. Toneboosters Sibilance in 2015.
Edit: Voxengo Soniformer was released (pre?) 2006

The first time band shelves (really usefull!) came to my attention was when Eiosis AIR EQ was released in 2014 (but i could be mistaken an they added them later). I'm not shure when Melda added them to MAutodynamicEQ.

Edit: The band shelves where there from the beginning as shown in the feature video from 2011:

-For "Spectrum Grap" go to the automatic EQ section. You can save and load your analysis, analyse the side chain or analyse Wav/FLAC/MP3 files from your Harddrive.
-slopes for low/high shelves are possible
-Tilt EQ is in the easy screen
-For Linear Phase there is MEqualizerLP. I hope MEqualizerLP MAutodynamicEQ will become one in the future.
-Yes, more bands would be great.

The new standard in EQ plugins might be UVI shade, which also is providing a lot of very useful filters. I always hoped the Renoise team would do such a plugin one day...

Shade actually really is one of those plugins I call innovative. I mean this shape LFO thingy alone is -especially- of musical value. Many options packaged into a oprable user interface.

XxEDxX: I didn't check this Shade think, but I definitely like UVI stuff, since they try to come up with new stuff.

WasteLand: The attitude towards Apple is complicated - I actually like lots of things Apple did, but their backwards compatibility and attitude towards developers is horrific kinda makes most developers hate them. Some of them say it, others don't... As for M1, I kinda hope there will be something in that and the market will do something. Intel is just a zombie for a long time. When I was on college, there was still the "scheme" that the computation power should double every 2 years, and in fact cryptocurrencies are counting on that. But for a long time that is far from true... So perhaps ARM architecture will solve the issues CISC CPUs are fighting. Fingers crossed.

Hi & thanks. I must be missing something though, but I see no spectrum grab like in ProQ ().

Unlike for Band-shelf, slopes for low/high shelfes are greyed out here. Same e.g. for Notch or Bandpass, while being possible in ProQ.

Okay I see tilt eq is not really a filter type like in ProQ, but more of a preset. Well fair enough on that though it is much different and complicated.

Voxengo Soniformer was out before MSD, SIR Standard EQ or Ozone had bandshelfes too. It doesn't matter. I just don't see the reason behind such bogus claims only because other tools are more popular...

edit:
something like default preset doesn't seem to work too? I can save it as default but it does not get loaded as default... Possible in ProQ :D

btw the uninstaller does not uninstall correct. I saw it mentioned some times now, but even the 14.15 has this issue.

You shouldn't take Underoath77 as the blueprint of a melda user. He reeaally likes his melda plugins.
Others just use them because they work for them. Peace :phones:

Ahh, now I understand what you mean, sorry. You are right, this exact feature is not available in MAutodynamicEQ. And yes I knew I forgot one Spectral Plugin (Soniformer).
In the end we as Users are just lucky there are so many amazing plugins available, I think.
All the best and happy mixing!

If you want a certain setting on startup you have to go to Settings (top right corner) -> Global System Settings-> Set default setting

You can use the Q factor knob to change the slope on the low/high shelfes, band pass and on the notch filter.
If it's different on the Fabfilter I apologize. It's been a while since I used ProQ.

I'm actually a hardcore liberal lol.
but in this instance it's mainly frustrating seeing the amount of potential that maelda has to take over the audio industry and seeing steps not be taken, again I like the plugins more than any other company but I'm just one user I don't hold any sway over anybody

I see. Honestly I don't know the reason for having a default preset then. I think it's one of those things that are unnecessary complicated and obfuscated, only to make it different.

I don't think this will ever happen with any company. If there would be one company liked and used by all, the industry would be dead. And you can see in this thread alone that it's not a marketing issue.
