I tested the Beta before committing to the offer.
As long as you are a v.10 user then you can access the Beta but it may take some time.
v10 Standard or v10 Suite to be precise. (I've seen many disappointed Lite and Intro users.)
I think so. I have suite.

Anyone have a likely Live 11 release date? I'm thinking February for some reason

What reason?

Or you mean Reason's high-res update will be in Feb, but then I've no idea why write it here ;)

Have you actually filled the form at centercode?

They said 'early', so February would be my guess too.

It took me a few weeks to get on (this back near the beginning of the announcement). I don't know if they vet (I've been a Live user since 8 and took part in the previou beta), or maybe they've just had a lot more applicants. I'd think you should hear something soon.

I hope. I desperately want to work with the scales and midi editing features they picked up and improved from FL studio. Game changing to see them integrated into Live.

Comping in ableton will be so great 😋

It’s a good update, liking the comping and randomization options but wish they’d focus on making the cpu performance better.

Unless Ableton implements something like Logic's processing buffer or Cubase ASIO Guard, can they really improve it much? I was under the impression that Live's realtime audio engine is the reason why the CPU usage seems higher than others.

Exactly.

It's much harder for a DAW like Live to add a double-buffering like Cubase, Logic, S1 or Reaper do, because in those DAWs it's easy to narrow down which tracks are fixed and which can change during playback - it's arming status that determines that. With Live's interconnectedness (you can modulate anything anywhere), Max 4 Live devices, hot swapping, possible on-the-fly input from session view & dummy clips and quite extensive possibilities for random / generative MIDI and FX it's much more difficult to pre-buffer tracks.

I guess it's a price Live pays for being... well, Live :)
