You can get it here: https://marketplace.tracktion.com/downl ... chive?v=11luvst wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 3:57 pm How can i apply for the beta?
I don't see the beta under my downloads/my account.
I'm a licensed waveform 11 pro user.
Thanks.

Collected Notes from 11.2.4 Linux...
Bugs
• "Stop all playback when application is minimized" doesn't.
• When I make a new project from a template (self-created) the default edit incorporates the template, but new edits made from within the project do not.
• If you rename the .tracktionedit file, the dialog asks "Do you also want to change the name of the clip" rather than "...the edit".
• The "Popup" and "Custom Popup" plugins selectors use abnormally large font sizes ("Tree" and "Custom Tree" Menus do not).
• Opening an Archive Edit causes three ~40 second hangs that don't involve any notable CPU usage:
1) After selecting directory to create the Archive in.
2) On initially selecting the Archive to open.
3) After OKing the directory to unpack the Archive into.
• I saved an Edit as a Template. After doing a New Project from that template, on selecting a folder to put it in, again, ~40 second no-CPU-usage pause.
• Typo: "Remove bypassed plugins from plackback (reduced latency)".
• If you drag-copy a chord clip group, it ungroups and all the individual clips [still] become single-member groups.
• For some VSTs, e.g. #TPhaser, the Properties pane's program name field has a popup menu with "Rename Current Program" at the top. Select it and you get a rename dialog, but the new name isn't applied.
FReqs
• If the user starts dragging notes, turn off autoscrolling.
• Popup Tree's open-close-all-folders button would be more convenient if located at the top of the dialog.
• Relatedly, could the scrollbar gutters have more contrast against the rest of the dialog, to make the existence of the scrollbar more obvious? I don't know how I missed seeing it, but I did. (mousewheel-mousewheel-mousewheel...hey wait there's a scrollbar)
• The Plugins browser should allow for searching by all text, not just names.
• Shouldn't the status of newly added plugins' Sandbox checkmarks match the status of the Enable Plugin Sandboxing tickbox?
• It should be possible to set a different Default template, especially a User one, so we needn't take the extra step of selecting one. (Incidentally, although the template-creation dialog has a description field, this field doesn't show up in the Open template dialog.)
• Can't we have chord track (do I mean chord lane?) clips that retain the global key while overriding its scale?
• Although if we could do things like i/V/I/v I wouldn't need the chord tracklane clips.
• Could we please have some chord tracklane debugging tools? Reveal Overlapping Clips, that sort of thing?
• Shortcuts for zoom in/out horizontally to parallel the ones for zoom in/out vertically.
• Shouldn't Zoom-to-selection zoom in vertically as it does horizontally?
• Snap track vertically would be helpful — instantly maximize the current track vertically.
• If I click on a plugin's window, make the plugin's properties appear in the properties pane. Better yet, wrap a mini properties pane around the plugin's window.

Check out these animation trails:
These are the same edit. To change the first image into the second I deleted the step clip(s) from my drum track. The weird part is that undoing the deletion doesn't immediately turn the nice normal triangle wave back into the misdrawn one — it stays correct until I stop and restart playback.
The animations on all level meters show similar responses, as does the indicator on the pan/volume control this LFO controls.
[Addendum: converting the step clips to MIDI clips also corrects the drawing/animation, and permanently.]

I have a bug (i think) with Racks, when i assign an LFO to a Volume and Pan, to the Pan level, when i save the Rack Presset and load it again, the panning is not centered and have to re-center it everytime. Should be able to reproduce with LFO and Volume and Pan.

There used to be an issue of Waveform offering to restore from a zero-length temporary edit after a crash. Haven't seen that lately, but it does now offer to restore what appear to be only-partially-written temporary edits. Many tracks were lost...

Has there been a discussion on now not being able to move the playback bar with the cursor unless you are in blank space?
Why the change?
Just tried the beta version and I don't know what the say, this is one of my favorite features of Tracktion since day one. Seems like a massive change to me. Hopefully it's just an experiment.

Hello,
BR:
- MasterMix can't be reloaded when saved in old projects from W 11.1.0,
- snap resolution choices other than Smart don't work with transport position (jog or arrows),
- Autoscroll stationary cursor option doesn't work in Record mode (only in Playback mode);
Many thanks

Are you referring to the cursor not moving if you click on a clip body (ie not the header)? This is a bug and will be fixed.Kang wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 6:52 am Has there been a discussion on now not being able to move the playback bar with the cursor unless you are in blank space?

Sweet...but rx2 support seems to have busted (M1 MacBook Pro running the 11.2.4 beta). I presume it's because of the Reason shared library being Intel still but just thought I'd mention it.

Yes, and sweet! That's one of my favorite things about tracktion/waveform, makes editing so much easier.FigBug wrote: Mon Jan 11, 2021 6:58 pmAre you referring to the cursor not moving if you click on a clip body (ie not the header)?
