I wonder what does this mean for the future?
Absynth 6 confirmed?
Curious what the mean by "platform""The company wants to consolidate its products and industry influence into a singular platform for seamless music making experience"
"It must have been the right time to put the company in the hands of a global investment firm that’s able to back its future with business know-how and major capital"0degree wrote: Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:50 pm Some interesting news: https://www.gearnews.com/native-instrum ... -platform/

I hope not, if so - I'm out
So it looks like it's just a new investor on top of existing investor.Francisco Partners to invest significantly in Native Instruments, the Berlin-based global leader in digital music creation software and hardware, acquiring a majority shareholding from EMH Partners and the Founding Shareholders, with both remaining significant minority shareholders
I'm pretty sure that they will do subscription based software at some point.
If I read the Business Wire piece correctly, EMH and the NI founders sold majority share to Francisco. Interesting move, but end-state is essentially an exit ramp for EMH and the founders.revvy wrote: Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:55 pm "strong thought leadership"

by Apple - with all synths bundled into Logic and no longer available otherwise
That would be totally awful.... just like they did with Emagic - Logic and Camel Audio... hope it never happens
