I've grown much more resilient to the lure of shiny new pedals, but a used Way Huge Conquistador gated fuzzstortion for €86?
I tried to tell myself I have no place left, but then I saw that spare spot in the fuzz dept of my tower of pedalboards...

With selectable buffered or true bypass - how hard is that listen every vendor out there - BOSS in particular.
You get buffer where you want it - not between every pedal and alter signal everywhere.
Just over a year or two ago I learned that having first pedal with buffer makes the most difference, lowering output impedance right there and signal through all true bypasses capacitance just about disappear.

Another entertaining blind test from Andertons - but keep in mind, a) Pete didn't get to dial in sounds himself b) the captain doesn't seem to know about the internal presence trim pot of the Dirty Little Secret c) the Glove is one of many OCD pedals, not a Plexi MIAB

TC has offered this for a while. Ironically, the pedal that taught me the value of a buffer is my Boss Bass Limiter.

Be that as it may, I completely agreed with their assessment. OCD's are great MIAB's.cptgone wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 11:29 pm Another entertaining blind test from Andertons - but keep in mind, a) Pete didn't get to dial in sounds himself b) the captain doesn't seem to know about the internal presence trim pot of the Dirty Little Secret c) the Glove is one of many OCD pedals, not a Plexi MIAB

Is that an effects loop, meaning you can insert effects that will only be on the delays and not the clean signal?

I'm not entirely sure, but I look forward to finding out! It really seems like a monster, and I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces on guitar and hooked into my audio I/F.

My Way Huge Conquistador gated fuzzstortion arrived, it seems to have a sound of its own, despite my owning several sputtery fuzzes and fuzzy distortions already. Quite the steal at the price I paid second hand.
I got one of the ISO-10AC Pro units and I'd like to add it's significantly bigger and heavier than the older range.cptgone wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 3:15 pmMy world is shatteredvurt wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 7:58 pmffs don't tell cptThe Noodlist wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 7:57 pm Harley Benton announces three new guitar effects pedal power supplies.
https://www.musicradar.com/news/harley- ... r-supplies
My first impressions, comparing to the extant ISO-2/5/12 Pro range:
Pro:
- higher wattage (22,5W/21,6W/55,4W) than the ISO-2/5/12 Pro range (18W/18W/??W)
- power plug seems to take less space on a power output strip
- voltage switches now right next to the power outputs that offer higher voltages (seems less prone to user error)
- USB output included
Con:
- more expensive (still a killer deal IMHO).
- ISO-10AC Pro: lower amperage on 4 of the outputs (250mA instead of 300mA)
- some of the ISO2 range come with a Y-Cable (voltage doubler) of 5.5*2.1 mm coaxial plug to 2x 5.5*2.1 mm coaxial plug with length of 30 cm, the ISO-2AC doesn't
Pro/con depending on your needs:
- I assume the extant ISO-2/5/12 Pro range relies on the power plug for power transformation. If that's right, a defective transfo can be easily and cheaply replaced by ordering a spare HB power plug. The ISO-2AC Pro seems to have the transfo in the unit itself.
- LEDS right next to the outputs (same side panel of the box)
