I want to change the font of FModern2 to Asian character font with MTexturedStyleEditor and use it.

How does trying this style work? Does it just take over all melda plugs or is there a style selector for it? I would like to know if I need to copy any of the original files from styles before I go replacing stuff.

Yes, that is correct, I only realised this was available to update today when logging into the forums, I have various different color schemes for all my melda fx plugins, so haven't updated just yet, going to set aside time tomorrow to do this. Much respect!
