Ah, I just didn't notice.
Thanks! :)

Well, now I'll never unsee it again. So no reason to change it for me.
Still, it's not too obvious. But I don't know if that's any reason to change it.

That was one of the difficult decision I made. 'L' shaped switching view is unusual choice. Arp section could be bolder in many ways, typically by hiding envelope section and create big arp section there instead.

But I think that in a long run users will benefit more by the env section staying visible, than the "easy to find" friendliness which loses its value once after you learn the structure.

I have another color coordination idea where turquoise is used for SSQ and pink for misc mods instead.

Not sure how people feel on pink as one of the mod colors.
Oh my, this is so, so beautiful.
The white is easier to look at here (has it been slightly darkened/desaturated maybe), and I love what has been done with the subtle textures:

And the color palette is so vibrant & pleasing (to me).
The shades of blue, purple, light green, orange, etc all look so pleasant.

Particularly -- the mint green here and the pink-ish shade, I think these two go very well with each other =)

I hope that plugmon is committing all of these drafts to Git in case he decides not to use them in the final build haha.

Truly a talented designer & artist.

fine with pink for me and +1 for different colours on the Shape Seq/Sequencer. Picked up your Diva & Zebra skins off the back of the Hive skin after dancing around getting them for a while. Pleased I did!

I think the whole "paper" concept of this skin is holding it back somewhat, it's too white, monochrome and bland.
I hope there will be a version with a different color scheme, more pleasing to the eye, like this:

Really great work with the version in the RC.

I still can't get over how good some of the tiny details are - like showing clock/beat etc. icons in the LFO rate selection

Two quick questions:

- Is there a story behind the name "IZMO"? (Like with AIKO?)

- Is it too late to ask if, for instance, the background flow diagram in the "MixControl" area could be a little darker?

The reason being: I'm still struggling to easily see details with the light-grey background and a slightly-less-light-grey next level color that is used for the flow diagram, the non-active bottom-section selection (FX/Matrix etc.) or the "unfilled dial areas" etc.

The FX section remains a bit of a challenge to distinguish easily between the different sections, as a result.

- Or presumably it's just something we could edit for ourselves in the .uhm?

I just really think that a couple of % darker in that non-active-icon/dial-background/etc. grey would really help distinguish things and make it less strain on the eyes.

But once again: Awesome job :tu:

As we do a 2-step release with Hive (AAX for Mac coming... whenever...), there's a chance to keep tuning and polishing Izmo after this initial release.

Awesome stuff.

I can't figure out how to get into the arp menu.

Good question. I wondered the same a few weeks ago, planned to explore it, then completely forgot about it.

Seconding this question.

My guess: It's a play on いつも, meaning "always." Usually that's romanized as "itsumo," but here it gets a spelling more appropriate for a synth made in Germany.
I hate signatures too.

How much hassle would it be to have an option where the colour scheme was more consistent - so almost all the controls were dark text on light background? Having such a distinct mix of both across the UI is a bit taxing on the eyes/brain when doing a lot of tweaks. Maybe something more like this (obviously this is VERY rough) - more consistent UI language, where controls are dark text on light, and headings are inverted, with more of a distinction between the oscillators and the filters (which look the same in the current skin).

I don't know if it's holding it back, but it does take a bit getting used to. When I loaded this up I initially couldn't find the Modmatrix -_-

For the engine selection it does feel a bit hampered to have it look that anonymous as you forget it's there. Maybe different colours for the different modes to quickly discern which engine is in use?
