My first thought was "I wonder how much overhead the extra audio channels take", but knowing Bitwig I wouldn't be surprised if all modulators already run at audio rate.

Bitwig hasn't ruined anything for me. It's totally made everything better, so much so I don't have to use any other DAW.

It ruined all VSTs for me basically 
Sound design is so much fun in BW, and lately I'm renting a studio where I go usually once a week and have maybe five or six hours of time. With BW I find I can fall into a total trance, everything working in lightspeed just the way I want. It's completely transparent to me, and I can just let my creativity flow. The modulation system is incredibly cool for creating things that evolve in time. I can't believe all the narrow minded people who are asking for a MSEG like it's something required, when so much more can be built from the components, and importantly, everything can be very reactive to what's happening inside the patch and elsewhere in the song. And Komplete, yes, Kontakt is the only part of it that I really use.
