Sorry for asking this again: Has there been any news on a possible Mac M1 ARM native release?

Not over in Vital's dedicated forum. Maybe on its Discord channel, but I haven't joined there (and won't, I already have to deal with too much communication channels anyway).bmanic wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 5:38 pm Sorry for asking this again: Has there been any news on a possible Mac M1 ARM native release?

Thanks.Xenox.AFL wrote: Tue Apr 27, 2021 8:38 pm totally different synths, you can't transfer any sounds from the Zebra to the Vital and vice versa...
You must do this by hand by reprogramming the sounds you want... But it's impossible because the synths are sooo different....
Frank
I don't mean to transfer it automatically, but manually, by copying the settings. So, in theory - it is possible.

Na, i'm sure it's not possible, every synth is working different, filter settings, envelop's etc.
You can try to do it by ears, i already did this with other sounds but it's not easy...

Has anyone else noticed when using longer samples the patch loading times are really long? Up to 10 seconds or so, maybe longer.
Seems not well optimized for using samples, I don't have that issue with other VST's.. it is a shame as dropping a long sample in and letting it randomly start and FM the oscillators a bit is where all my best patches have come from so hopefully the sample part might be tweaked a bit. I think the sample is saved with the patch so I don't know why it takes so long to load it? I know nothing technically just comparing similar patches on VSTs.

if i remember correctly matt said that the sample is loaded into ram. so loading time depends probably on sample lenght an how fast your ram is.
50 sec is probably only when you play a note longer then 50 sec.
so you could shorten your samples, get faster ram or just wait a few seconds.

Is there any possibility yet of permanent offline activation via regcode or regfile, that'd work in perpetuity?
That is: after user has bought and downloaded the plugin and authentication code/file, no further internet connection, logins etc. would ever be required for using the plugin.

I have no idea what the status of this is, but see Matt's exchange with OzoneJunkie back in November: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=555319&p=7957570#p7957570N__K wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 9:06 am Is there any possibility yet of permanent offline activation via regcode or regfile, that'd work in perpetuity?

I too prefer fully offline installers, and would welcome an option to disable all online functionality of the plugin, including update checks (so that there's no need to click any dialogs away etc.).
Perhaps a checkbox at installation, or a setting in a config file, etc.
I understand that to test Vital, I need to create an account on the Vital site (https://vital.audio/#getvital) - no demo installer available without registering?
Also, after registering, will I be able to download an installer .exe (or a compressed package with .dll files) that can be used on a fully offline DAW computer?

I'm wondering if there won't be any updates anymore and v2 is in the the works? I mean there hasn't been any 1.x updates, only 1.0x.
