It's called NastyDLA and it is neither very nasty nor very dirty in my opinion - quite the contrary.

For me it's simply the best delay out there - and I have them almost all (not talking about freeware here, I rarely use freeware these days).

True, I would have bought less delays if I had seen that coming

What would be the risk? :?
Jiz.. no but I'm not gonna go and change plugins in ongoing projects and have no time to test. Thats the risk :) Also 50% of us has only a mac (hackintosh) so aint gonna fly in them until Herbert gets a mac or such...

NastyDLAII has to me at least, best and smoothest feedback with saturation. Love it.

Screen resolution has come a long way since these were released, and unfortunately, they're at the size where usability is starting to become problematic. NastyDLA indeed sounds nice though. Didn't dig in much deeper with the others.

Installed the vst3 version of epicverb and nastydla.
They are still fantastic, gui could be a little bit bigger. Didn't notice high cpu load but something else in Cubase.
The plugin windows themselves don't have the usual bypass buttons and they can't be bypassed in the cubase mixer as well. Didn't try vst2

Vintage GUI's :)
No auto tune...

I always seem to have a block over it's name...

whatever, agreed, love it's sound, I try to be focussed these days, delays really down to replikaxt, modnetic (my fave 'tape' delay), dubstation, sandman pro, tk-delay... but still find a place for NastyDLA.

Yeah, for me, the only delay that soundwise comes somewhat near NastyDLA is Waves' Metafilter - but it takes a lot more CPU for it and still doesn't get quite as thick (which isn't too surprising as e.g. it only has a single LFO).

They sound just like the 32bit originals, that's to say, great. I've noticed the saturation and general tone leans towards a 90s/00s, beefy kind of sound, that is a bit different compared to more carved-apart sounds in 2010s genres like trap (I'm describing this very badly I hope you know what I mean).

epicVerb and NastyDLA sound as good as ever to me, NastyVCS is like coming home to an old friend too. epicVerb is surprisingly effortless in producing great sounding spaces, and NastyDLA's chorus, filters and saturation feel really nicely attuned to each other, it has more of a coherent recognisable sound than some other plugins I've tried. The feel knob is really nice too. I got used to EchoBoy, TAL DUB and Modnetic, but something about DLA just feels a bit punchier, and it feels more like I'm in control for some reason.

NastyVCS has a lot of that tone I mentioned, I use the EQ, compression and saturation stages for some really nice and warm sounds. The secret weapon is the phase section for me, adds another je ne sais quoi to everything.

Have the reviews of the bugs with the vst3 versions made their way to the developer, now that the beta is closed ?

Stupid question, but are the 32 bit versions still available? There are no download links on the VoS website . . . .
