Are you guys that are having the crashes etc using the new Experimental Audio Engine by any chance and if so does disabling that and using the old Audio Engine fix the issues? thanks.

How do we do that?

It's under > Settings > Advanced > Experimental. And just uncheck 'Enable Experimental Engine Processing' ( probably best to restart Waveform after changing this setting ).

Thank you. I've disabled it and will be testing later. :)

@Erisian Please keep us informed of your results, I'm beta testing Waveform on Linux and it's good to see what bugs other users with different OS are having.

OK, will do. For the record, I'm using Win7 64 bit.

The older audio engine is proving a lot more stable than the experimental one on my system. I still have some audio dropouts - more than I would like - but I think a particular synth may be at least partly to blame for that when I close it down. With the older audio engine, I can use Waveform to my satisfaction. :)
