Not part of the MPE spec per sé, but we have plans to support this, too.pdxindy wrote: Sat Aug 14, 2021 1:25 pmNo release velocity either...Urs wrote: Sat Aug 14, 2021 9:44 am BeatZille and BazilleCM are identical internally, but they do have separate VST IDs and stuff.
I'm not 100% certain, but I think everything except Zebras supports multichannel MIDI and is MPE compatible with the exception of treating Ch #1 as global control channel.

Here's my answer to a similar question in another thread:m-ac wrote: Sat Aug 14, 2021 1:25 pm Just noticed this thread. When are the updates being released? Will registered users receive an email?
We can only contact you with your consent (double opt-in). Our Newsletter does this and it is the one-stop all-in-one tool to keep individuals up to date, roughly 3-5 times a year.
Alternatively, KVR offers a service where, when you click "I own this product" on, say, Diva's product page, you get notifications whenever the plug-in is updated.

I could go on and on, but Hive 2 is awesome.

It'd be nice to see as a future consideration, to email your customers when their licensed products are updated.

We have embraced customer privacy laws as a good thing. We simply mustn't send you an email without that double opt-in and the extra clicks and agreements that come with it. The Newsletter is literally the only legal way we have to directly contact customers.m-ac wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 12:12 am It'd be nice to see as a future consideration, to email your customers when their licensed products are updated.
That said, once all our software is up to date we also have plans to simplify installation, licensing and future updating. With that may come an option to get such a notification inside the software itself.

Well, we also have a pretty strict "let's not call home" policy (even if people form warez sites continuously claim the opposite).e-crooner wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 12:10 pm Sylenth1 tells me from within the synth when there is an update available. Then again, it rarely does![]()
It's kind of a "do we really want to do this?" type of decision for us to add the option to let our software ping home. We might actually only do it in stand alone mode, since being a plug-in in a DAW might now be the best place to do so.

Any chance of an installation manager in the future? If yes, that’s where I’d build the pinging. Users can periodically open it to check for updates. After updating all my U-he plugins recently, an installation manager that could streamline the downloading and installs definitely got added to my wishlist. But only if that’s not going to eat into DSP/plugin development.

Yes, that's another project that's on our list.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 2:37 pm Any chance of an installation manager in the future? If yes, that’s where I’d build the pinging. Do it like browsers or AV suites, install updates in the background without anyone noticingUrs wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 1:51 pmWell, we also have a pretty strict "let's not call home" policy (even if people form warez sites continuously claim the opposite).e-crooner wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 12:10 pm Sylenth1 tells me from within the synth when there is an update available. They end up always making me jump through more hoops and they never work consistently (which means more hoops and frustration).
Sure, there's a couple of hoops with u-He, but only a couple. IMO, managers are likely just a first step to subscription thinking.
If this is a project, then my suggestion would be a simple version app not tied to the plugin in any way other than to maybe scan for current version on our system. And only "ping" the current download page for comparison.
Think how KVR does it.
Then add a simple link button to take us to the download page. Done!
NI manager has become a non-sequitar to using their products, now weighing whether or not it's worth the effort in updating.
Even Arturia is wonky, allowing for adequate notifications, but still best to download from the account, and having to jump through more and more hoops each update to do so.
Simplicity is one of u-He's greatest features. Please don't f it up by employing the homogeny of customer ignorance. This is a distraction. Keep your focus where it's been proven you're the one for other companies to follow.
