But does the iZotope style of sales model work as well for consumers?Uncle E wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 10:15 pmu-he's system of offering public beta discounts and then almost never doing sales again works well. It actually confuses me when they do run sales because they're one of the few developers that have made it work. Also, it helps that they don't release a lot of new versions or rely on upgrades. That sales model wouldn't work as well for iZotope, for example.fairlyclose wrote: Fri Aug 20, 2021 5:32 am my earlier point, which I think cascades down through the other posters, is wanting devs to charge a fair price and more or less leave it at that albeit with the occasional sale. Pressure marketing, false impressions of scarcity, inflated pricing that suddenly crashes to an equally fake discounted price, then hiking to an equally arbitrary ridiculously stratospheric price and so on is unethical, simple as that. And well known to be unethical and manipulative and illegal in some markets. Should be in software as well - one of the few industries that still allows such predatory practices

Yes, it does. Think of each iZotope version as a product life cycle, you're going to get a better deal based on what stage it is at. If iZotope did things like u-he, the products would be priced at the cash cow stage all the time and that isn't good.fairlyclose wrote: Sun Aug 22, 2021 4:25 am But does the iZotope style of sales model work as well for consumers?
Also, iZotope's sales model means they're beholden to add marketable features to keep people upgrading. Personally, I would be happy to pay for DIVA to get major upgrades every year.

I haven't used Syntronik yet, but do I understand you correctly that it doesn't have assignable automation like SampleTank? I know you can load Syntronik libraries into SampleTank. Then you don't have the synth interface, but you can at least use the sounds.dermage wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 2:40 pm I also bought Syntronik last year or so + Deluxe. And I don't use it.
What I really don't like about it, that it has no DAW parameter mapping. You have to map everything through MIDI. That's really cumbersome! (At least in Ableton Live)

Yeah, it had been sitting there for many hours untouched, apparently. Consider yourself lucky.Digivolt wrote: Sun Aug 22, 2021 6:02 pmThanks, surprised nobody had used it alreadyprojectdan wrote: Sun Aug 22, 2021 1:49 pm Here is your $25 personal voucher for this month:

Yes in SampleTank it works, but the SampleTank Interface has really bad contrast IMO and it doesn't "feel" the same as working in Syntronik (with the more authentic synth GUIS).
I really don't get, why they didn't add the same automation mapping as in SampleTank. (I bet it uses the same framework)

I can cross grade or upgrade to it, but I can’t find it that cheap

Buying AmpliTube 5 Upgrade in Custom Shop cost 200 Credits, which can be bought in IK Store at €159. That can be reduced further for 30% using JamPoints down to €112.dusted william wrote: Thu Aug 26, 2021 4:35 am Where can I get amplitube 5 for that price?

Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here.

This. Or, if you don't have enough JamPoints, you can get the 200 Credits pack for $136 using the coupon code "GROOVE3IKM".poonna wrote: Thu Aug 26, 2021 5:19 am Buying AmpliTube 5 Upgrade in Custom Shop cost 200 Credits, which can be bought in IK Store at €159.
