Looking for a high quality vocoder that can transform voices completely

I have spent very little time exploring vocoders as I don't need them usually. So I'm trying my way around vocoder to find something that can transform and mangle voices and make them sound like a robot from another dimension but not the old school way (no 8-bit 12-bit vintage crunchy something), I need modern formant, HD quality that almost sound like it's the original voice sound unprocessed. I like Ableton's vocoder but it's not effecty enough and it kills all the voice intelligibility when I try to get close to what I want (pulling down the BW at the minimum).
What do you guys recommend for this task ?
I just saw Razor can be used as a vocoder so I'll try this first.

Waves O Vox
Izotope VocalSynth
Both are pretty good at mangling voices.
XILS 5000 is one of the best software vocoders around and is very good at understandable Daft Punk classic vocoder sounds but not a real mangler.

NI's Razor works wonders for vocoding and takes relatively little time to learn how to use effectively. It can create that vintage, rubbery-sounding vocoder as well as glassy or noisy. I've been using it for years because it seems to work with just about any genre I find myself working in.
iZotope's VocalSynth is another quick and easy to use plugin that can create some very iconic-sounding effects, both classic and modern.
I haven't tried Rob Papen's new RoCoder VST, but it does look like it has some new features not typically found in a vocoder and it's only $49 intro price.
If you're after a modern vocal sound overall, consider looking at Manipulator and I Wish by Polyverse Music. While not strictly vocoders per se, they allow for some very cool processing tricks that make vocal production a lot of fun. They also sound great on the other elements in a mix, but it's much more noticeable and in your face when you're processing vocals.

Really nice for free:
Full Bucket Vocoder FBVC. Based on the KORG VC-10
https://www.fullbucket.de/music/fbvc.html
Waldorf Lector is really smooth and intelligible with up to 100 frequency bands, and you can use an audio input for the carrier wave.

I have read that it is possible to register these. I have also read that Image Line have discontinued VST support. I don't know what to think about it.

When was the last time Vocodex was updated? 2017?
I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a discontinued / unsupported plugin!
I also wouldn't purchase any plugin that was either Windows or Mac only.
Cross-platform compatibility should always be a basic prerequisite, because as a musician you need to be able to collaborate with others.
