Maybe it is product type. I have second generation Scarlett 212.
I have that as well, though it is my 2nd as I have the gen 1.
Yes, these freebies appear to be tied to the hardware you have from Focusrite (or Novation). Neither company has explicitly stated what the "tiers" are, though they've implied there are tiers. But as far as I know, the offers are available to all customers and not limited to a geographic area.

I have a mix of Novation and Focusrite hardware and they get a different mix of freebies.
I have them registered to different accounts so easy to compare them.
There is a lot of crossover between the two but there are significant differences.

Looking at my 500 bucks OctoPre, not seeing the new freebie, wondering where "the line" is.
Anyhow, I got some great freebies over the years and I am very grateful overall.

Again, this offering was from the Sound Collective ["Resistance is Futile"], which is Novation. Have you received other freebies/discounts from Sound Collective/Novation? If you have, it might be worth asking them what the difference is this time.

my observation (having both) is, that since several months or a year, both, focusrite and novation,
seem to be kind of synchronized

meaning, that when company a offers something company b follows with the same offer later
i think it's happening since january or so...

I think they're having the same offers now, at the same time.

so i downloaded this plug-in sometime in august and it was working fine, now when i load the plug in, it is asking for my license activation. The plug in doesn't appear anywhere in my "audio FX" in plug in collective, and i really don't recall ever manually entering a license when i did (i just can't remember, but obviously i must've). in the yum audio website, it says i have "0/2" license activations for this plug in...meaning i have 2 licenses i haven't activated yet?

Where can i find my license? i've searched my email for "yum-audio" "scarlett" "plug in collective" and didn't find anything regarding the actual license key.

edit- i just had to activate my license by entering my email and password inside the actual plug in. i thought i needed a license key code.

anyway, will this plug-in stop working on october 28, or can we download it and have it for free forever UNTIL october 28? this is very misleading and confusing wording.

not here - it only shows the redemption code
for license activation of the yum plugin you have to
login into your yum account from within the plugin (username + password)

More goodies from Focusrite and Novation:

Capture.JPG

"Sound Collective: Yum Audio
This month’s exclusive Sound Collective community giveaway is Yum Audio’s LoFi Pitch Dropout – a fascinating effects plug-in that emulates tape errors. Normally sold for £65/$90, LoFi Pitch Dropout is free to download for Sound Collective members from 5th August 2021 to 7th October 2021 (4pm BST), and comes with a 25% discount code to redeem against any product in the Yum Audio range."

The product actually lists for $75 on the site (not $90), but why quibble when it's free anyway?

I guess this is technically from Novation, since it's part of Sound Collective. But it was in my Focusrite account, and I can't find the Novation equivalent of this KVR page anyway.

Steve
Cool, thanks for the heads-up. I totally forgot about the free plugins that are offered every once in a while for owners of Novation or Focusrite hardware. Thanks to my Novation Impulse MIDI controller I was able pick this up for free.

So this month both Plugin Collective and Sound Collective offers land on the same day. So they've given the same offer to both:

This month’s exclusive Plug-in Collective community giveaway is Fuse Audio Labs’ FX plug-in Bucket-500 and VPRE-2C, for Mac and Windows. Normally sold for £39.00/$49.00/€44.00, Bucket-500 and VPRE-2C are free to download for Plug-in Collective members from 28th October to 16th December (4pm GMT), and come with a 50% discount code to redeem against any product in the Fuse Audio Labs range.
