According to my emails I registered the Chorus on Dec 22nd 2020, the Reverb on Dec 17th 2019 and the Filter on Dec 22nd 2016. So if there's something this year it should be somewhere around then. Fingers crossed

You don't say which OS you want to run on, but here's a couple of Windows tools I use regularly, both are free.

Been using Free File Sync for many years, its great. My only gripe is that it doesn't preserve the modified date of directories when it copies them over. I'm sure it used to, but doesn't now.

For searching out duplicates and lots of other cool stuff (I especially use it for multiple file renames), there is Free Commander. Might do what you need.

Thanks for the suggestions. Finally had some time to look at this more. I'm on a Mac, but I don't let that hem me in. Looks like Free Commander is a 32-bit windows program that dupeGuru almost certainly improves upon, with regard to finding dupes. Free File Sync looks interesting and is cross-platform, but its not my unicorn.

I did some more looking around and my two best hopes now are Czkawka (GTK GUI) and Fdupes (command line).

STOP the PRESSES. Might have found my unicorn, well not exactly, but looks promising: Fclones.
