I totally get not installing Rosetta plug ins, I do not get being unwilling to use Rosetta installers? There's literally no negative impact to a Rosetta installer, it's 100% a "principal" thing.

Not much it doesn’t do really, really well to be honest and the new cross modulation and distortion fx just add even more.

Pigments may be the best all round synth now for any money…
Due to my choice to not use Rosetta, I cannot install Pigments on my new M1-Pro Mac. The Arturia Software Center requires Rosetta to be installed even though Pigments itself is native.

I do look forward to trying 3.5 whenever the installer becomes native too. Looks like another excellent update!

Hello !
Pigments is now natively supports M1 processors.
Kind regards

Other way around with eq, modulation, distortion and dynamics. This I regard as an essential part of the signature sound.
I regard distortion as a showroom feature. I assume most would like to use their own, more advanced pre-amps, tape sims or waveshapers in the mix.

Anyway, they'll probably include some of the ones from the FX bundle eventually.

I absolutely love the sound of their new stuff - but always find some small rough edges in the operation. It's like they are having two teams working on the code. One for the synth engines and one for the UI and operation. Just wish they would put in a bit more energy into the latter. Nothing deal-breaking, just details.
Hello.
I'm very interested to hear more about what would you like to see improved, feel free to post it.
We worked on many small GUI / UX improvements in this update, but we are curious to hear if there are other stuff you would like to see improved, whether it is about the GUI, UX, engine, effects, etc..
Kind regards
Edouard

What's nice to have it inside to to be able to easily modulate it and have readymade presets that sounds PHAT :D

I could compile a list with small details - but maybe you have already fixed them. Don't dare to update yet since I'm in 2/3rds in of two new soundsets for Pigments.

Just one tiny thing that you might enlighten me already with. Previously it wasn't possible to export a bank with the cover art - is this possible now? I spoke with the support some 6 months ago and they kindly showed me how to _add_ cover art to your own banks, but when exporting them and importing them on another computer - the artwork doesn't follow with the exported file.

Nothing dealbreaking - just stuff like that.
Neon City for u-he Repro - 80s pop & Synthwave soundbank

Has anyone else bought the Trio Energy Bank?
Found it surprising in two ways.
1) Normally Pigment downloads new banks itself, this time I had to download an installer.
2) There is no cover art in the banks within pigment.

It's the same with Hive. Such a weird and lame design decision, especially given that both devs clearly know how to make reverbs.
They both sell reverb plug ins, hmm?
Seriously, it's not necessarily the worst area to be weak in. :)

Well, you can route each osc to a filter ans each filter to an fx bus, so it would be nice to have more built in effects options since using external plugs won’t allow you to take advantage of the architecture.

LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 6:03 am There is also a special offer to get the new Energy Triad Bundle (450 presets in total) for Pigments for $29.99.
Anyone tried these? I assume they focus on the new features in 3.5

Seems like a good deal for 3 sound banks, but I am still going thorough the 150 free new ones (they are really good!)
Not yet, but talking about numbers, if we buy this for $30 we will get a total of 600 brand new presets (150 in factory + 450 in banks) with Pigments 3.5. Can't have enough, can we? :o

By the way, as I mentioned in the other Arturia thread, I was expecting an announcement after the sale and thought it would be Pigments 4. It is 3.5, which surprised me a bit. I now wonder what Pigments 4 will bring in the future.

Sometimes I have had to delete and reinstall the pack from the shop in the app to get the cover art.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Ahh... installing it on my PC now and see if it is there..
But may do your suggestion.
Thanks.
Never had to do that before though.

Testing the cross modulation feature introduced in Pigments version 3.5, modulating engine 1 (analog synth) with a granular vocal texture in engine 2, tweaking things on the fly.

How you add your own cover art?

Just drop an image file (256x256 png I think is the format) in here C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Shared\images\vc8_images\packs then rename it to the exact same name as your sound pack.
