I'm totally with you there. Pretty much daily, beyond my control, I find myself being a dick to a moderator. Wake up people. This could happen to any of us.
Unsarcastically, I have to say what I imagine many here have seen--that threads like these come up periodically--that the OP, pretty much always, only presents a limited perspective/knowledge of what happened, full of assumptions and jumping to conclusions.
Threads like this add up on the shoulders of moderators (I was a moderator on a different forum once) until that one thread becomes the back breaking straw, and the moderator thinks one last time, why the F am I doing this thankless job, and leaves. And when moderators leave, forums get messed up. Sub-forums disappear because nobody want to manage them. Heaps of parallel threads can stack up because nobody is around to combine them.
In my thirty years of spending way too much time on forums, I've only seen Bitch-About-the-Moderator threads serve the egos of the OP and any who pile on--temporarily; and they wound the forum, death-by-a-thousand-cuts style long-term.
Solution: Don't make threads like this. Just don't.
If you have a valid point to make about moderation, then have an actual discussion with that moderator--in a PM and not in some glorified attempt to forum-shame them.
