I found the old folder, deleted it, and reinstalled. Now it is working fine. Thanks!tasmaniandevil wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 6:21 amSounds like a simple installation issue, as there will be conflicts if older and new version are installed in parallel.tony10000 wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 1:32 am MFM2.5 preview, revision 12536 crashing Ableton and FL Studio consistently, here. Wunnerful, wunnerful!
I have to admit that even though I loved the sound, the old GUI never clicked with me. The new one did immediately. Thank you!!

It's the strangest thing.tasmaniandevil wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 6:52 amActually just tried it with the VST2 and VST3 in Ardour 6.6 with Ubuntu Studio 21.04 (KDE Plasma), and the up/down arrows to switch presets work just fine.krans wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:33 pm On Linux, I cannot use the up and down button to switch between presets in Mixbus 32C (and then probably Ardour also).
Can you share some more information about your system, which Linux version, which desktop environment, which version of Mixbus? And can you try it in Ardour to check if it works there?
I have a pretty similar setup: Pop!_OS 21.04 (based on Ubuntu 21.04), running the newest Mixbus 32C (version 7.2.0).
And as I wrote, I can use arrow keys with all other u-he plugins (including Filterscape).
However, with Ardour 6.9, which I'd think would behave exactly as the latest Mixbus, it works just fine.
So please spend any more time on this.
It's so daw specific that it might just fix itself with a Mixbus update.
Also, I can so easily live with it.

Sounds beautiful. I like the effects a lot on the wet delay. They integrate well and don't sounds like just a layer on top.

There is just one thing. Actually, it's the only small usability issue I have with u-he products. Same with Hive for example.
I would wish the modulation system was a bit more direct and was giving more feedback.
1. I like the drag source to target a lot. But I can't do that directly with an LFO, I have to use the mod matrix for that. I know that you have slots below many knobs for quick access, but it's a bit of overhead to think about how to archive it, instead of just dragging a source to target without thinking. I'd like to drag all sources. One step less.
2. I quickly lose track what source is modulated by what. And how much. And you have two systems, the modulation slot below the parameter, and the mod matrix. I often need to decode it by the mod matrix.
I guess there is no visualisation (i.e. ring + dot around the knob) on purpose for the mod matrix? I'm wondering if something like an hot key that would blend in an overlay with this typical range ring + color or number for the used modulation source + showing the current modulation value was a way to enhance this without creating clutter?
Or do I get it wrong?

Sounds beautiful, but not really stable.
Crashes sometimes - Cubase 11, Win 10 - VST3: To mention, I've never seen that message before - with MFM now 3 times.

An individual mute toggle for F1, F2, F3, F4 would be nice to have. I like to have such things for sound design, because it's much easier to understand the individual parts when you have a quick toggle for that. Or when you're not sure whether this certain layer is good or not you can quickly compare.

Wow, fantastic! How about a preset for 'shimmer' à la ValhallaShimmer or Eventide blackhole? (Although possibly I need to read existing preset descriptions more closely.)

You can quickly get in the ballpark with the Big Reverb preset, then adding a Granular (up an octave) and Diffusor FXs in.ossetcrockter wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:11 pm Wow, fantastic! Ah, thank you! Yeah, that's the ballpark I was looking for. I'm really liking the new interface -- making this kind of experimentation easyFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 11:57 pmYou can quickly get in the ballpark with the Big Reverb preset, then adding a Granular (up an octave) and Diffusor FXs in.ossetcrockter wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:11 pm Wow, fantastic! It's a rather difficult task to get that Cubase bypass button working in our VST3 plugins due to their modularity (i.e. how they are built code-wise).
For the time being, if you need it, please use the VST2 version.
