My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Excellently done as always.

I expect nothing less from you.

PS - You really need to post more often. Too many of the great artists here spend way too much time away.

Hi Thomas, thanks for the feedback on the music...

Keeping pieces short, but still reasonably satisfying and 'complete', definitely requires a different way of approaching it all, but you do get used to it after you've done a few!

As for singing / playing in 4ths in certain styles of medieval music, here's a simple example of what I was referring to...

Free Organum (10th and 11th Centuries):

Added voice moves note-against-note using a variety of intervals, but particularly perfect fourths, perfect 5ths, octaves and unison...

I didn't go back in time, that long... and i know the example - it is (at least they say) from Tutilo from St. Gallen. It is the second piece in our choir-book used during study. never liked it that much, but that's why i remember it. I was thinking about fourths as imperfect, but that came later and not that early... next time I'll think a little longer before I question anything

but hey - overall i was just cracking a joke. don't take it too serious, please

Sounds like you are using high quality soft-synths in the whole song. Very nice melodies! Sounds great all around. I could picture this in a movie. Excellent job!

Thanks Ian - glad you enjoyed it! yeah, it could be longer...originally was sketched out that way in draft and will be extended at some point when I find time!

Only 15 remain in the UK now and I'm very lucky to be about 3 miles from one the largest and best... the Bournville Carillon in Birmingham...played it a few times over the decades...awesome experience!

I finally made it to the UK in the Summer, after many postponed flights.
Actually visited the Birmingham area, Penkridge. Wife was taking a course there.

I know Penkridge VERY well - had family there for decades. Just north of Wolverhampton where I was born and raised!

Thanks Frantz - real carillons come in all shapes and sizes, but I think this sample library has been done very well. The bells actually never play on their own - even at the beginning there is that Niguliste Organ from Tallin in the background and I think it does just add a little bit of extra depth to the sound...almost 'in-between' the bell hits as they die away each time...yeah, impossible for you to comment as you haven't heard the bells without it!

Over quite quickly - I will extend this at some point as I do like the main melody and it's simple enough to be developed in various directions.

That coment is much appreciated! Short pieces are always tricky to create! They have to 'go somewhere' pretty damn quickly for obvious reasons, but also have to have an internal continuity and structure that works...
