Yes this is what i intend to do in M9.0.16:

* Drop the "Standard Rewind-Forward = Fast" preference. It was On by default anyway.
* Click on Rewind / Forward = Step per bar, but also taking first selected part and markers into account.
* Ctrl + Click on Rewind / Forward = Step per grid (but at least per beat), but also taking first selected part and markers into account.
* Shift + Click on Rewind = Step to first selected part / Loop Start / 1.1.000.
* Shift + Click on Forward = Step to first selected part / Loop Start / end of last part.
* Add shortcut function to "Goto Start Of Selected Part"

Just to mention that "Shift" tends to mean "and select" whatever the "without Shift" action was, rather than some other granularity to the action... Alt might be a better alternate modifier.

For a long time already MuLab has been using Shift for making bigger value changes. In the same vibe as shift lifts a lowercase to an uppercase. So for usage consistency Shift+Rewind/Forward will make bigger rewind/forward jumps.

please tell me that I don't need to worry about Mux's workflow in the future.
I never used mulab and I love Mux.. if they are going to be as one unit, I just hope that I will be able to use it as I use Mux

I love Mux vst for its:
loading speed
CPU usage
stability
workflow/ease of use
etc...

are any of these PROs gonna change?

can't wait to check the vst version..
I don't have to worry right?

MuLab 9 Plugin for Windows pre-beta is getting close so you will soon be able to check it out and see if all these pro points are still true, and maybe even better.

What about news of m9 release date? Too early to tell or is it close?

Step by step. Next step is the MuLab 9 Plugin for Windows beta. I know it seems to go slow and that's a bit frustrating, for me too. But with M9 several fundamentals of MuLab/MUX have been restructered and rewritten with big consequences. To give you a rough idea: Around 64% of the codebase has been changed compared to M8. That's a giant number! That's the main reason (besides the single dev situation) why it all takes time. The next step, the MuLab 9 Plugin for Windows beta, is close.

I assume then that it is the reason why I did not get an answer to my request, a few days ago, to beta-test the MuLab 9 Plugin?

Hey Jo, no problem, I understand and sure everyone else does too. Keep up the good work. It's just that I recently purchased my first soft synth since m4! It's given me a little push to try the computer music setup with more of an effort.

So I'm keen to try m9 soon as possible. But please don't feel like I'm being impatient, just eager.

Thanks for all your hard work. I'm starting to appreciate MuLab again where I've spent more time with it lately :tu:
