RX Post Production Suite 6 UNMIX::DRUMS

Question

I'm considering to buy unmix drum but knowing that it is a relatively old technology, if it make sense if i already own the similar processor include in the music production suite from izotope (master rebalance from ozone 9, music rebalance from RX9, or even sculptor from neutron 3)

As a specialised plugin i assume it might be more detailed and effective, but i don't know if in the case it will be worth the price (169 $) ?

Music Rebalance in RX is based on machine learning Splitter by Deezer (as most tools these days), and it's considered the best.

RX swapped their own algo with splitter some time ago.

I don't think Zynaptiq can really compete with it.

well...I just installed the tryout version and at a very first impression, I've found it rather intuitive and flexible in dislocating drums against (mostly) polyphonic instruments

the way it has been built up make very easy tu use as a mastering tool...but still a bit pricey in comparison with the isotope's ones !?

:?

It’s been on sale at least once if not multiple times last year, bringing the price down $150 or less (can’t remember). I would expect them to have it on sale again if you can wait.

I'm using Unmix:DRUMS right now on a re-mastering project. What's great about it is that it has EQ curves that you can apply to just the drums, i.e. making the kick louder and the cymbals quieter. I don't know of any other software that lets you do this when you only have the 2-track to work with.

Do either of these really work without chirpy artifacts? :o

at extreme setting perhaps, but not noticeable at a more reasonable degree, these technologies has made undeniable progress...
