I think the problem with this synth is that it's competing with sampled vintage synths, which can never be matched since their internal samples are already known and copyrighted. To make matters worse, vaporwave isn't as popular as it used to be and the notion of this being a "dream" synth is misleading at best. I don't really know what to make of this. I like the other synths I've purchased from these guys but I'm just not seeing what I'd do with this.

Does the midi learn allow a source to go to multiple destinations? Will try and download the demo to see, but not got a lot of time through this weekend. Really depend on that source-destination thing to get the sounds I want.

That's sort of the feeling I get from the combination of contrast and sheer number of elements on screen (roughly 300). It's just really visually overwhelming and genuinely hard to look at for more than a little while.

I don`t get it, how some people be so negative about it... CA makes really nice and good sounding emulation (or like this - inspired and own layout etc), with many additional addons like good MPE support, many many presets - and all this always for a no-brainer price..... And this one, is probably the best so far from CA (in terms of possiblities sound-wise with PCM etc). I love it!

This is really great synth with so many PROS but just with couple of cons from me that makes it no go for me even for 39 USD:
1. Incredibly CPU heavy, especialy that makes no sense when using PCM samples
2. GUI is a bit too busy, some elements couldve been hiden under panels or go with more vertical aproach.

Sorry to say but I agree that the sounds that this synth make are already covered. Nothing special to me.

You say it like there's something wrong with people who don't like something. As if being negative about something is a strange phenomenon.
Is it really that hard for you to understand that others don't like something that you do? Do you understand yourself if you are not positive about something?

Not really my cup of tea... also I just spent a hideous amount of
money on a new guitar and amplifier, so I'm not even going to demo.
Still, Kudos to CA for bothering to come up with an original design.

I particularity like their Mercury 4 synth, it has a nice character to the overall sound.
I have enough synths to be getting along with though, but will probably test it this weekend... it could be a dream, but I need to try to find out!

If you mean one knob or slider on the MIDI controller tied to multiple targets, then the answer is yes. Here you can see I assigned one knob to the 3 mix settings between the two waveforms for each oscillator.pugilistas wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 2:53 am Does the midi learn allow a source to go to multiple destinations? I find Dreamsynth to be pretty good. Decent sound. Somewhat unique. Giant library of decent presets. I usually mess around with writing a new track to try out a new synth and I did so with Dreamsynth. Just messing around... 6 Dreamsynths and a limiter.

Very cool demo plexuss, count me as a fan of this synth also, posted more thoughts in the other thread on it but I dig it.

I think that you've captured the vibe of this synth fairly well. While I'm probably not a customer, I have purchased other synths, e.g., Vacuum, just for having a trick or two that made them enjoyable to write with.plexuss wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 4:30 pm I find Dreamsynth to be pretty good.
