Hi folks, so I tried it too.
Cubase 12 with 9 instances of the MG1. No (!) effects used - only in the master I pushed the volume with the build in Maximizer of Cubase.

2) happy to see many "first time" on contest (second for me)
3) very very sad to see this contest which should be a happy island made of friendship and music, become a land of swear words, misunderstandings and bickering. Don't we have enough?

The risers are white noise on the synth
All percussions are resonant filters modulated by envelope with layered noise from the synth
The stereo effect on the pad is made by three instances of Surreal MG-1, panning one to the left and one to the right, both detuned by some cents.

Totally agree!

If OSCers still want to quarrel in a non-constructive way I suggest we create a musical platform where those not getting along can instead upload music on how they feel rather than using harsh words. Then we get to vote. Actually that would be kinda cool to listen to.

Pro tip for all if this would ever became a reality: ”Judo (Japanese for “the gentle way”) emphasizes winning in combat by using your opponent's weight and strength as weapons against him, while preserving your own mental and physical energy. = Just make a parody of the opponent's music instead of resorting to aggresive feelings!

Edit: By doing so you put yourself in the opponent's shoes and might even see that this person has good qualities too and drop the quarrelling

I'm a first-time poster here so this is all new to me.

I'm quite proud of the drum sounds on this one. The nuances are a bit lost in the mix, but by layering up instances of the MG-1 for the kick, snare, and hi-hat I got some semi-realistic sounds.

No sampling effects were used, everything was recorded from the synth and then bounced when needed. Effects-wise it basically boils down to reverb, delay, compression/limiting, and EQ.
