And there is no plugin on the audio track generally.
I did not think about looking in the console, I will do it next time it happens and let you. My music production machine is still on 7, maybe I should consider an upgrade
I think I understand more the reason of this problem: the push display is freezing only when I select an audio track (or a return track) with the push1 in note mode. I now try to avoid it when it's possible, but when I am jamming it still can happen from time to time. When it freezes, the push can still control bitwig normally, but the display (pads and screen) are not updated accordingly. Sometimes it takes few seconds to recover (after having selected a MIDI track), but most of the time I need to reboot the push (which make bitwig unstable).
I cannot reproduce that. Same goes for your report about note repeat octaves.

Could you maybe do a video and/or explain the detailed steps you are executing to make this happen?

Check out the Open Stage Control template included in the DrivenByMoss download to see how the OSC commands are used.
Thank you, I got TouchOSC working with just OSC and have also made some changes to the plugin, which I'll post about separately :)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to have more flexible control of Bitwig through DrivenByMoss so I added support for a new OSC message. This allows you to control a specific parameter on a specific page on a specific track in Bitwig. The OSC message contains the full path to the parameter, and Bitwig will return the message to controls which are receiving it to update the control if the value is changed in Bitwig. Bitwig will automatically switch to the correct track/page if it isn't currently on screen when the value is changed. More information on how to structure the OSC message to make this work are on the release page:

Hi,

Is it possible to map the pitch transpose of a clip to a knob with this script (similar to how this works with Ableton and a Push 2)?

I can see pitch expression in the inspector panel of a selected clip, but can’t figure out how to get that to respond to a knob (ideally in +/- 1 increments).

I think that is not possible but you can try to ask in the main forum (or Bitwig support).

Indeed, confirmed. Thank you very much!

And I'll add that while Launchkey keyboard notes and pad chord notes (when not in drum mode) are confined to the same port, they can be set to different channels and thus can be distinguished on the DAW side that way. Cheers!

Hi Jürgen,

I have a Komplete Kontrol s25 Mk1 which I am trying to set up on a new macbook pro (m1 pro) with Bitwig 4.2.3 and your script.
The controller works fine with the Komplete Kontrol software, but whenever I try setting it up with the custom script in Bitwig nothing happens and it stays in MIDI mode.

Here's a quick video of the issue as well.

Hi

Sorry if this is a noob question but I have looked in the manual and watched the relevant videos and can't find the answer. I am running Bitwig Studio, latest version 4.2.3.

I am using a Launchpad Pro mk 3. I have the latest firmware 1.2 and the latest DrivenbyMoss extension in the Bitwig Extensions folder.

In note mode/chord mode I want to change the key, e.g. from C to Am.

Everything I can find says I should press shift and Note and then I will get a screen with a piano keyboard from which I can change the scale and switch from major to minor etc.

But when I press shift I get a different screen, which for example allows me to create new tracks/scenes, or alter the note length, e.g. from 1/4 to 1/8 or 1/4t.

How do I change the key please?

Peter

The MkI implementation uses low-level USB. Therefore, you cannot run the Native Instruments services at the same time. Please see section 16.1 in the manual.

Where did you read that? Play Mode for Launchpad is explained in section 23.9.1. Root key is set with Scene Buttons 7/8.

Hi,

I stopped the NI services and tried again, but that didn't seem to change anything.
Any other ideas?

Thank you.

Hi all. I've just started testing out @Moss's Open Stage Control template. There's an issue on Safari on iPadOS where the modal for the Sends doesn't come to the top of the interface but seems to stay at the back of the screen.

I've had a look at the edit screen but can't seem to figure out if this is a bug because of Safari or if it's something that can be fixed in the edit screen.

Hi Moss. Firstly, thanks for your amazing work! It's really appreciated.

I'm implementing the OSC controller in one of my projects and going through the documentation, there are formatting issues on a few of the pages (128,129,134) that make it difficult to see what the various parameters are that need to be passed. Could you provide an update version of this doc please?

Thanks

I am using bitwig v3.1.2 and drivenbymoss v8.98 but cannot seem to get "Scene: previous bank" or "Scene: Select next Bank" to work (theres no ui change) for a Flexi controller. Also, there is no Play scene that I can see, without a play scene I don't know that i understand the use of being able to navigate thought available scenes.

I have been able to successfully configure other Flexi actions.

Does this work in those versions? i know they are unsupported at this time but im curious if im not understanding something correctly.

Would this work in the latest version of bitwig? is there a Play scene function?

I can reproduce the issue. It also happens with Reaper, so it is not a Bitwig issue but an issue with the OS.
Since there is no error, I have so far no idea what to do about it.
