I posted 2 songs on my music website, though I think the song on top ("All The Time") would interest you the most because it has ZebraHZ, Hive 2, some non-u-he synths, and used Presswerk compression a lot. Please tell me how you like the music, how it can be improved, and I will return the favor. Here is my link:

Anyway, the song All The Time is tight, and without filler. The synth and guitar solos get right to the point and are technically unique, the varied sounds are well chosen...

Capistrano Ca. used to have an epic population of Swallows, even a tourist attraction, until some idiot bureaucrats thought the town would be more sanitary without them, and wiped out their nesting sites. There were many Swallows at my Grandfathers ranch, great fun watching them swoop and glide catching the river's bounty of hatching insects, hence the musical homage attempt, done with Zebra CM
This is a peaceful song (break time?) made with Podolski, smalltown
slowpaced shopping, no homeless camps or local shootings reported on the news
Years ago, finding that Zebra CM would work in linux via Reaper and wine, followed by U-he releasing the linux version of Podolski, certainly changed things in my corner

glokraw,
Thank you for the review, I appreciate it! Now I'm listening to your Capistrano song since I like birds more than most people do. Those swallows are amazing flyers, and so agile! I think the music captures the Swallows really well in flight, so to speak. If you had a Swallow video to go with it, I think it would be even better. Overall, I think this is your best song and recording. Well done!
. Do you live in California also?

Glad you enjoyed a song! Those U-he sound designers sure make life easy. I'm up north in Oregon, but have breached the border a few times. Got stranded in the SF bay area by mistake once, and by the end of the day, I had new friends and a place to stay. The next day, I found a job to start earning a plane ticket, and came back a couple months later. So far, the swallows are way to fast for the family drones

This is a dark song I created which containts many instances where I used U-HE's Hive... Mainly bass, leads and arpeggios...and er my voice. It's actually one of my most favourite tracks I've ever created. I picked up Hive in November 2015 so pretyy much all my tracks have used Hive.

I love that pluk sound over the intro orchestration sounds, a good basis for a new expanded piece featuring such hive pluk sounds in extended solos? From there, the energy builds nicely, solid arrangements, maintains the theme, and has cool sound selections. I would suggest adding some reverb and delay on the stutters, to melt them into your mix a bit more. Seemed a bit too dry. Cool music, and getting cooler on lap 2.THE INTRANCER wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 9:43 am This is a dark song I created which containts many instances where I used U-HE's Hive... Will check more later.
(The followup on soundcloud was Solarwaves-Infxionmix, it has some very nice surprises, keeping the pot stirred, without knocking it off the stove

It was nice to see Steven Lipson has been using Zebra and Repro in the new xPropaganda album (which sounds great), in his recent Produce Like A Pro interviews on Propaganda on YT... I'm a big fan of his, the ZTT stuff and particular A Secret Wish...

I think 35 or so Repro 1/5 Presets was used here. ALl the sounds, includes drums, Kick and everything else was made with Repro

I enjoyed the Hive energy, syncopations, transitions, backings and sounds. Quite motivational as a song, holding interest throughout. Need to get my BlueCat rig going! The Repro song, as fitting, seems more a vehicle for a wider variety of sounds and effects, and they are quite an interesting group of sounds, and presented so they can be heard well.NatLife wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 1:14 pm 18 Hive 2 synths. The phrase 'never a dull moment' comes to mind. Attention to detail runs high, seemingly small things like extra beats/backbeats start it off for high expectations. I really enjoy the swirling wah intro, and the solos later on, to me, are quite original. As are the synth sounds and breaks, timed and played so well, and nothing seems canned. The melodic movement under the second set of vocals is unique and the levels are just right. The pads at the end are nice, but I think I'd also use them as an intro, so they become a reprise at the end, rather than a surprise.aaron aardvark wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 5:54 am I put 2 songs in my music website, though I think the song on top ("Fear Not and Be Strong") would interest you the most since it has some ZebraHZ, Dune, non-u-he synths, and Presswerk compression on the whole mix, vocals and drums.
