Is there a shortcut for disable/enable grid?

I can't figure out how to easily adjust things off the grid. I would usually have a hotkey to enable/disable grid or a keyboard/mouse modifier to tell the mulab to let me do a "free" move

mutools my guy, my man...
this all can be avoided with consistent naming.
please include "grid" in the search terms? OR change the name of the button. So either:
Shortcuts -> Toggle Grid Snap On/Off
or the hover help text for the grid button should read "Snap On/Off"
Also, I composed my first piece in MuLab and I am enjoying the fact that there's a number of annoyances that I am not dealing with becuase I'm using MuLab instead of FL Studio.

(work in progress additive synth + harmor, I'm falling in love with additive synthesis)
MuLab has great potential. I will see what I can do to promote MuTools and help where I can.

Thanks for highlighting this.
Will be tweaked in the next update: It will be "Toggle Grid On/Off"
"Grid" is the key word indeed.
(note that with the next update you'll have to update the shortcut you made to it for the function name will have changed; MuLab will notify you about it on startup)

Wish it was a pure MuLab project (without VSTs) and that you would share it as a MuLab demo project for the MuLab zip package.

I'm going to fire back from the hip on this one: Wish MuLab had my DSP.mutools wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 5:59 pmWish it was a pure MuLab project (without VSTs) and that you would share it as a MuLab demo project for the MuLab zip package.
I really love synth percussion and there's been so little innovation in this area. I have some good ideas for this (one of them making use of additive synthesis for mimicking epic ensemble-style percussion). At some point I will be exploring algorithms for this and wouldn't mind handing that over for MuLab modules.
One secret weapon to great synth percussion is having a vocoder with certain features (Vocodex turned one of my synth snares into something that sounded huge/beefy/REALISTIC)... How it works I don't remember, I need to go back and study what I did. So, if you can implement a vocoder module at some point in the future that would be vey nice.

IIRC there's a vocoder in the mulib package, perhaps even two.Architeuthis wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 7:21 pm So, if you can implement a vocoder module at some point in the future that would be vey nice.

hael yes, thanks. I will study this (the vocoder and whatever else is complex) to get a better idea of what's possible in MuLab modular.
