...but the fact is they always provide functionality with their free CS versions that load older content with minor improvements and bug fixes, which adds M1 compatibility to your Modo Bass. You're dead wrong about this, give it up.
A band aid measure instead of just issuing a proper free M1 update for MODO Bass is not the same.
If you think that's acceptable, good for you. But it's not to me.

Nothing band aid about it. You get M1 functionality for free, you do not get new bases.
What exactly is different about it to you? because it says "CS"? That's literally the only difference, in fact usually there's a few things added to the newer CS version that the older version can't do. You're just not willing to admit you're wrong here.

what specifically makes it 'band aid measure' rather than 'proper free M1 update'?

The fact that I have to install yet another intrusive IK application in my OS.

This is the worst first world problem I’ve ever heard! Fix your mess IK!

So its a proper free M1 update where you dont like the installation system, then?

If it was a proper M1 update, it would simply update the already installed MODO Bass. No need to install an additional intrusive IK app on my computer. IK fanbois are OK with installing all the IK crap they want on your computers. I am not.

So exactly as I said, your issue is with the installation system, not the plugin. Thanks for confirming.

Correct, the M1 compatibility for MODO BASS is free and is done by updating to version 2 for free via the CS version. I'm glad that was cleared up and sorry that a user in this thread doesn't feel that's the solution they'd prefer. Noted. We will share any other update information when we have it. Thank you.

Peter,

any clue to when we will be able to use TrackS natively?

thx.

Peter, it would mean a lot to us customers to have some sort of roadmap. I like arc3 and if there are plans to update it to be m1 native it would mean so much to, for one, have that confirmed and, two, get an eta.

With no knowledge of you do plan to update and if so when, I’ll probably jump ship.

Post

Sorry to hear that but we typically share the news when it is available, we know even from recently (MODO BASS 2 release date, for example) that it is better to share news when it is ready.

Have to agree with PsychicVST here. IK likes to play it close to the vest. To the point of paranoia.

But M1 support isn’t something IK should be secretive about. There are literally thousands of IK customers who are waiting and can’t move forward until M1 updates are out.

A roadmap isn’t a firm date. But people should be told if they’re still looking at 6 months before ARC or T-RackS is M1 native. People need to be able to plan accordingly. It’s abusive to withhold that information.

Honestly, for whatever reason Amplitube at least is not that much better M1 native vs Rosetta. The promise of native is mostly for Cubase users who can’t use the AU version or rather who won’t get a host like Unify or Combinator etc. to host AU versions. If you’re capable of using the AU version it’s just not that big of a deal, and it’s likely less than a 10% hit to use the Rosetta version.
That said I would bet T-Racks is next, probably within the next 5 months.
