The black text doesn't work well in the FX on/off button stack, white would be better.

I've had white in one unpublished version - but there's nothing white in the FX section so white text draws a lot of attention to itself.
i was toying with the idea to make disabled modules outlines instead tho

i've been toying with the idea to make something in Max that would generate .uhm script, but day only has so many hours :)

what's new:
- Unison now has a mini switch to swap the handles if they're on top of each other, moreover i change all the destination knobs that save with the preset to "mini knobs" instead. They're also disabled if you disable Unison for an OSC and turn dark.
- SUB tuning displays now have one decimal place, to remind you you can also detune them to something other than integers. (i made this after making a preset and spent 5 mins frantically searching why it sounds out of tune)

I tried forcing XY state to also disable the XY Blob, but i don't think it's possible to link it to Unison control. It would look cool tho. Also an XY GFX Grid so i could animate unison tuning :D

- changed Reverb XY destinations to knobs instead and moved the second one down

-added labels to EQ mini knobs and colored them

- Changed a few remaining fonts to Fredoka, main display color now loosely follows screen color, fixed a few graphics, few links on the link layer fixed
- changed scope zoom handles to arrows and made a thinner bar

- @glokaw, display off labels now use the color "sw_labels_off", last color in the script - changing that should change off label colors

Great tweaks in v 0.9.5 :tu:

Out of curiosity why would only the first two slots in the Seq be highlighted? In the example below the range is set to 8 but only the first two slots are highlighted. The Seq does play as expected so it's visual not a functional issue.

I think i'll need to contact support for this. I have sequencer dimming done by switching layers with partially dimmed background attached to panes - if you wiggle sequence length left/right it will snap to where it's supposed to be, but on load, it always dims everything. I'm not sure why

Ok I see what you're saying. Touching the Seq Length will cause all 8 slots to be highlighted and that persists as long as that instance of HIVE is open even if I change patches.

Closing Hive and loading a new instance causes the issue to return if that helps.

Ah, yes. Had to shuffle around layers and plug the OVL into LayerMem :) Works now.
v0.9.7, i won't upload a demo for this fix if someone wants full version pm me

edit: need to thank plugmon for this dimming idea, although he does it with smaller panes and i do it with a single object - the way it’s done in Podolski’s Verve is MUCH more clumsy.

I think uploading a new version with the fonts fixed in the sequencer for Windows users would help a lot because it's pretty ugly the way it is atm.

(we should involve Plugmon and you, Ploki, in the discussion on how to approach panes with > 32 layers... like... unlimited numbers... but still a way to mask themes that objects in a pane can be on multiple layers...)

...folder?

Once you do that, the fonts render correctly. I don't think there's anything Ploki can do about that other than provide instructions advising people how to do that manually, or creating an installer.

Might require a U-he fix to get "theme-level" fonts working on Windows.

Ok yep, copying over the fonts from Ploki's skin to Hive's Data / Font folder seems to have solved it now. Thanks..

In Photoshop I redesigned the FX grid, on and off buttons, so they are much easier to read. Increased font size and made the text white.

The folder contains the two folders which you can place into the Animations folder for the skin once unzipped.

See download attachment below.

EQ in the image below is in the deactivated state.

v0.9.6 (last uploaded) and v0.9.7 only differ in inactive steps sequencer dimming

imo a bit heavy handed, because it becomes the whitest most high contrast element of the whole skin. Aside the module labels at top on some color themes, there's not much of pure white in the skin otherwise.
