First of all, thank you and congrats Urs!!Urs wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 12:09 pm...you’re welcome to explore these new features with our betas of ACE, Diva, Hive and MFM 2.5 (more u-he plug-ins will follow over the next few weeks and months):
Diva CLAP public preview 13207 Mac
Diva CLAP public preview 13207 Win
Diva CLAP public preview 13207 Linux
I haven't read all posts in this thread. Not sure if someone has already asked and it's been answered. Will these public preview beta installs (I'd like to try Diva) overwrite existing installs?

Thanks EvilDragon. I may need to wait then, using Diva in current projects.

Any MIDI channel, any note, any of so and so many parameters. Not just Pressure/CC#74/PitchBend. Dozens, hundreds of parameters available to tweak for a single note at any give time. MPE on steroids.D Halgren wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 8:38 pm So through testing it appears that I am getting polyphonic modulation on MIDI channel 1. Can anyone confirm this, as it is different than MPE?
The thing it is in Bitwig Studio it's just one out of many concepts possible. Their paradigm is to add modulators which are like synth modules. That's absolutely fabulous and fitting and all of that, but other hosts can have completely different paradigms. Like, if Logic supported this, you could make an automation region and right-click and say "only this note, this note and that note", while other notes are unaffected - or get modulated by a completely different mod region.

The problem that I am having is that I have Ctrl A set to cc74 because I've been using MPE for Hive, but in the CLAP version it's not responding when I have the MIDI channel set to All to Same, like you normally would for MPE. It responds to cc74 if I set the channel to ALL to 1, but not polyphonically. However, if I use the expression modulators timbre control, then it has per note polyphony even on a single channel. Do you have any insight regarding the use of Ctrl A?Urs wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 10:21 pmAny MIDI channel, any note, any of so and so many parameters. Not just Pressure/CC#74/PitchBend. you know...we have these big companies who mostly put out small synth updates and soundpacks...omg, the soundpacks .. SOUNDPACKS EVERYWHERE!!
And then, we have these guys. Who work hard on free, open source alternatives to a standard which is, frankly, old and non-dynamic in it's development.
Congrats on this first release! Awesome stuff and very interesting.

That would probably be a bug...D Halgren wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 10:48 pm The problem that I am having is that I have Ctrl A set to cc74 because I've been using MPE for Hive, but in the CLAP version it's not responding when I have the MIDI channel set to All to Same, like you normally would for MPE. OTOH we don't tell CLAP that we're MPE... because we are not... but our plans are to be fully MPE (for the record: yes, with Release Velocity, but probably not "mono MPE") as soon as possible, probably before we release official CLAP versions.
-> testing and work ahead!

MPE pitch slides are not working with the CLAP versions... I've been so busy with exploring per note modulations, I hadn't even tried MPE.Urs wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 10:54 pmThat would probably be a bug...D Halgren wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 10:48 pm The problem that I am having is that I have Ctrl A set to cc74 because I've been using MPE for Hive, but in the CLAP version it's not responding when I have the MIDI channel set to All to Same, like you normally would for MPE. Glide looks like a bug...'
Voice Stacking is not yet implemented in the u-he betas and who knows when it might be. Surge works with voice stacking if you want to try it.

Looks like its working in Diva OK ?
