Hi Giorgio, I was the one who mentioned that there are no names on your website. Glad to hear you have a longer history than just this year.D-Fused Sounds wrote: Sat Jul 23, 2022 8:45 am Hi guys, first of all I want to reply to someone who said that there are no names on our site, my name is Giorgio Lamanna, nice to meet you. D-Fused Sounds is on the web from more that 11 years (I personally make music from 25 years),when there still was Sounds To Sample, then moved on Beatport Sounds (who knows the story, know why); as someone posted , we are music passionates first of all, some of us are also ghost producers that work with artists around the world, some is passionate about graphic arts, this makes understand that music is our life. If you take a look on the web we are also distributed by a lot of respectable samples stores (we are also on KVR store and we thanks them for this opportunity). We are now growing our platform including plugins, kontakt , cover arts .....and to do this (as any seller) there is a need to advertise (and we thanks again KVR for give us this space), so we do this in the Bargain section that is made specifically for this isn'it? Then if us, or others shops start 10 different post with different offers , that's because there are things behind it that only by being in you can understand (we can't post offers before they came out for example).
The most curious thing however is that when we post FREE presets for RC20, who knows why nobody says anything and we have 1793 downloads for it, 981 for the FREE MIDI files or 644 for the FREE Presets for Saturn2, and really few people give us a like (that which is FREE too but we don't take care, its a pleasur for us). Now if you find our posts in the Bargain section annoying, skip that section, but understand that there are also people insterested in those posts so they decide what is the best store for them to purchase.
That said, I don't want to be offensive towards anyone, I just want you to understand that if KVR gives us this chance, we thank KVR and use the Bargain Section, and simply, if you don't want to see our posts, skip this section or at least our posts, simple, not?
To me, if a website doesn't include details like a physical address, or the name of a company on a register (like Companies House in the UK) or the names of the people who run it which I can check have some sort of presence online, then I am suspicious about it, because there are sometimes scam websites that crop up claiming to sell music software which do this. Or sometimes they are not scams, but they are not long term businesses and if something goes wrong then there's no way of tracing them. But I'm glad you have given us some information about your business and good luck with it - I will check it out with more confidence now.
I think this discussion has gone on long enough now and I don't want to prolong it but thanks for re-examining what was actually at the heart of your complaint and articulating it more clearly.Hans25 wrote: Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:15 pm I will admit that it's not so black and white as I might presented it at first. D-fused did post a lot of presets and samples like a month/two months ago repeatedly and that's apparently their main business when you read their website. So I might took it for granted that the last posts was the usual stuff. Some of this took me by surprise.
In general what I find extremely annoying is the same kind of niche advertisement that get's posted repeatedly over weeks where the sale more like a standard price.
Rast Sound is another advertiser that annoys me. Its advertisement of the same kind of stuff over and over. The seller and the developer is the same and its a small business (I assume). So when this seller posts bargains with discounts of €20 in several posts with a few days interval and the same libraries goes on sale again and again I highly doubt that it's beneficial for the majority.
I can understand a big company like IK Multimedia with a huge variety of plugins and hardware posting their stuff from time to time because there's a demand. But the same small niche developers posting the same stuff over and over can't have a demand that justify the frequency of posting.
Maybe there should be a thread with resellers and a thread with small and large vendors for advertisement/bargains.
Apologies to everyone else for clogging up the thread with our discussion.
