MSoundFactory

A lot of the internal performance improvements had one main goal. To improve the performance of MSoundFactory, which can now process the sound more seamlessly and work more efficiently with large sample libraries. These factors are crucial for new instruments that MeldaProduction will introduce soon.


Well I suppose this is normal operating procedure. But nevertheless I am looking forward to these new instruments. Any hint what they may be?

I did not encounter any crashes on install with M1. I am on Big Sur. I did thankfully make a screen grab of what I had installed from the MFreeFx beforehand, as there was no record kept in the installer of what had been previously selected, or perhaps there was but it did not reflect the most recent selections. Anyway, looking forward to running with the new engine.

This is what is showing in Reason 12 on Win10. Reaper scans the Melda plugins but they don't show in any list. It's very strange. When I open a project in Reaper it just makes any Melda plugin in the project offline. I'm upgrading from Beta 16 which worked perfectly. What am I doing wrong?

Why is there no button "install only all the Melda plugins I own"?
It's taking me a while to figure out which Melda plugins I own.
Also wonder why the Mxxx Core is missing.
So is MSF from the V16 installer.

The FM module in MSF could use a usability expert to step in and do something about it. And to understand how everything flows (WITH advanced modulations)? Well, I find it a bit complex - and headache inducing. As much as I appreciate the Melda sound quality, I know I won't get the most out of this module as it is presented right now.

A suggestion of a "simple" fix (don't ever tell a programmer that btw :D )

Use the same highlight, like the new (?) blinking overlay on the per voice modulation when applying a modulator to something, for the FM Operator highlight, and solid green rectangle around the field you are about to edit.

Then also, imaging to hover over a modulator, and seeing rectangles around all destinations. I realize this may interfere with the overall big plan (how would you treat global modulators for example?). I just long for more visual feedback somehow. :hug:

I've sent this to Melda as well.

Thanks for the replies folks. Will check all the problems. Now, the installer crash on exit, that's something related to Apple's OpenGL support. It seems to do that only on some machines, as usual. I contacted Apple, but they are ignoring us, as usual :D . So whether this gets fixed in a macOS update or something, no idea... it can certainly be on our side, but in this case it is very unlikely...
