I'm confused...so the ToneX models are on ToneNET now but the software itself to actually play said models isn't released yet?

Peter, I say this with love and with a desire for you to win: the site needs major work. Missing search, missing ability to choose what details are shown, missing ability to filter or sort, audio not working, etc. 1,000 meaningless pictures and names. I gave up after checking out 5.

You can hear over 1,000 of the Tone Models that will be included with TONEX MAX (each Tone Model listing shows in which version it is included).
@Uncle E - the ToneNET web component is for display and audio demos, once the TONEX software is complete with the AmpliTube 5 integration you'll be able to use them via ToneNET that's built right into AmpliTube 5. I see complete information for each of the Tone Models that I click on via the ToneNET web site and the audio is working for all that I've tried, though, if you would like to let me know which don't have information filled out that would be great. I'll have the testing team try too but I've had success with the audio working 100% in three browsers.

That's kind of like the desert display at my local diner, with all their delicious looking cakes, pies, etc. except you guys aren't actually allowing me to have the desert yet.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 5:05 pm You can hear over 1,000 of the Tone Models that will be included with TONEX MAX (each Tone Model listing shows in which version it is included).
I'm really hoping that means the ToneX software is out this week at least. If it's going to be a "late-September" release, for example, that's just cruel.

The site needs search (including advanced search for different fields), sort, and categories (with filters to show or not show certain categories). You guys must have spent gobs of money to get the tone.net domain, don't punt now by leaving out these key and very basic features. If we were talking about a site with 10 products, your points would be valid, but forcing us to click on 1,000 separate products to see what they are is unworkable. Users are simply not going to do it.@Uncle E - the ToneNET web component is for display and audio demos, once the TONEX software is complete with the AmpliTube 5 integration you'll be able to use them via ToneNET that's built right into AmpliTube 5. Again, I say this with the desire to see you win. It's a cool product and a cool site, I want you to do well with them.

I've relayed your issues and suggestions (and made some of my own) for when this is released inside AT5 too.

I completely agree with Uncle E's comments about the need for improvement of the site. To me, this project is production of a huge swarm of single-point solutions. The success or lack of the project will depend crucially on how fast users can converge on one of these solutions. If it's not fast, they'll go back to tweaking amp sims that they are familiar with, rather than trying to hunt down then tweak a single-point solution that they are not familiar with. There appears to have been done a lot of work on tone modelling, but comparatively little thought about tools for organizing and searching these tones. For this project to succeed, these tools need to be absolutely top-notch, and preferably breaking new ground. For example, many guitarists think in terms of tones of particular parts of certain songs. How do I find that?

I want improvement in the buffer size for audio. Using 128 at present 48000 recording. That can become noisy at times depending on the device in A5 being used. I use many things with output going through other output software on mast channel when play. This buffer thing needs still improved on entire thing

Note this is ToneNET, which is where users will share their models and there are plans to add more sorting/searching/etc features for release. This was to get over 1,000 Tone Model demos to people before the release.
Also the TONEX software itself and working within AmpliTube 5 is very easy to use with regard to finding Tone Models even among the 1,000+ in TONEX MAX. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the released product.

OK I'm about to bite on Capture, but I'm curious? it really seems like you could use it as an amp attenuator, but I'm not 100 positive on this? Any insight would help.
Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Aug 10, 2022 1:54 pm TONEX Capture
Tone Models can be created in TONEX using a modern computer, a regular audio interface and minimal additional equipment. An interface such as AXE I/O is ideal for tone modeling with its dedicated Amp Out.
To make it easy for anyone to create Tone Models, IK’s new all-in-one TONEX Capture is an accessory that connects to the output of an audio interface to feed into an amp at just the right level. Then, the return stage sits passively between an amp and cab, sending a perfect copy back to the interface at a safe volume without affecting the amp/cab interaction.
