Looks cool but please watch the contrast and shadows! Can barely even read the word Ratios, Attack and Release on that screen print.

Noted! I'll go over all the text and contrast when it's together and tweak it
In the meantime:
i retooled the skin a bit so i can pull off shit like this without changing the actual skin, theme 8 - GLASS THEME.

thanks
v0.9 fully working

i'll likely do a premium + free version with only the "Nitro" Theme.
this upload is all themes now. not final.
Some functionality worth reiterating from the original Nitro:
- you can grab knob surrounds and adjust secondary channel when link is disabled (you don't need to switch actual layers)
- NEW! XY Pad for Threshold/Non-linear when in unlinked mode.
- Original horizontal sliders are gone. SC Delay is now a value display instead.
- New horisontal sliders emerge - Channel Link and SC Monitoring Level. SC Monitoring slider conveniently displays sidechain input levels (useful with external sidechain sources)
- "Skinning" is more rigid than in Swarm. Basically you have 8 themes + switchable "lights" and "darker color". However if you fancy digging inside the script, you can use alternate small knobs that are only used for Theme 6 (Moo) for other themes. (Knobs inherited from Swarm).
However because skinning is more rigid it's much easier to modify themes (sort of) because it's basically one PNG that makes up a theme.
- i'm super not happy with the link slider, it looks gross it will certainly look completely different.
- also not happy with Soft clip button secondary channel indicator :/
here's a shitty low-res GIF of all 8 themes:

here's how easy modes look as of now:

I haven't 100% decided, but i'll probably do more versions.
"Full" with 8 themes,
single theme (nitro + one theme) for cheaper,
and free tier (nitro theme only).
feels dirty to charge for something that was initially free so i decided to leave the original cream nitro theme free for v2 as well (this one):

Just my own personal tastes (everything is with aesthetics), but the Theme icon just really sticks out to me. The colors are very strong. Instead of a color wheel, maybe consider trying an easel icon that can more easily blend into the background but also convey "go here to change colors". Something like that could be made to blend in more nicely with the undo/redo buttons and look like it's part of the GUI.

Good decision! I agree with Funkybot and am curious to see what new symbol you go for.Ploki wrote: Wed Sep 21, 2022 2:56 pm Fair point, it's really an eye sore.
i'll make a brush or something.
Also, I think the idea of offering a free version and a premium version is a good one.

something like this maybe?
maybe without the brush even
or even without the color spots
the brush looks cool but looks like something is strikethrough because it's pretty small
edit: or like a paint roller?
i think i like paintroller best
sorry for the blocky screens, i have to have affinity set to "fastest" or else i have to wait forever for each zoom level to render.
